(Hopefully this is allowed in this sub)

I’m about 9 months into my running journey, and have been consistently running the hike & bike trail (conquered the entire loop today!).

We’re starting to plan a summer vacation and wondering if there is anything comparable in any other cities, in terms of distance, liveliness, overall safety, and natural beauty. I wanna pack my running shoes and stay after it!

Any word on whether these shows might be moved and/or postponed, given the vicinity to the flood devastation?

The town of Canyon Lake (and Whitewater Amphitheater) should be safe, since it’s on the south side of the lake that is capturing all the floodwaters, but just wasn’t sure if anyone had heard anything.

Hello! We are finally looking to get out of the south (Austin, specifically) and relocate to the northeast to be closer to friends and family. It's just the two of us; no kids. We know that the winters can be long and tough, but we're ready for it.

We've spent some time in Saratoga Springs, NY and absolutely love it, but we're looking for some other ideas of places to check out. Some of our parameters are:

  1. Small-to-medium sized city -- population 30,000 - 500,000
  2. Walkable central/downtown
  3. We will not be buying; we will want to rent, preferably an apartment/condo, but would consider renting a house. Upper end of budget is $4K.
  4. Decent amount of restaurants/bars. We know
