I know there's a lot of people new to the fighting game genre here so It need to be said.

If you're playing online, you should ABSOLUTELY use a wired Ethernet connection, if you can.

Assuming two wired players in North America, a stable ~60 ms connection can be expected.

If you notice players declining your matches, an unstable connection is one of the most common reasons. Many players will avoid accepting a match when they see a ping constantly fluctuating.

A 5$ Ethernet cable is always better than a 500$ wifi. Because your ping is the only thing that matter in a fighting game.

Also a wired controller is better than a wireless but since this only affect you so people don't c

For the longest time I kept putting off learning the matchup against hoawrang until tomorrow. Because who want to deal with that shit amiright? But I've hit in the lab recently, got to it and honestly, he's not that bad, sure he have bullshit aggro mixup, but regular Tekken bullshit, with counterplay. Once you realize you can duck punish most of his +ob moves you just have to match his energy and this can actually be fun.

Now full disclosure I main Raven and I must admit he have great tools against Hwoarang
- Raven's crouch punish is a i14 launcher, (or a i13 CH launcher safe on bloc, both always works against Hoawrang)
- He can clone out during his string
- A power crush from rang

Dear devs, as strange as it may seem, when we play Tekken, we want to play Tekken, not sit through Rage Art animations or endless juggles. The Rage Art were a mistake from the start, and they’re still killing the game’s flow. We've been saying this since SC5s, yet nothing changes.

Bamco cinematics ultimate always sucked and adding long juggles just doubles down on the problem. I used to think these were just a marketing gimmick, but after the disaster that was Reversal Edge in SC6? either don't care about your game or don't understand it. No wonder season 2 backlash was this intense. These designs fucks with the flow of the game, making us spectators instead of players.

You've said before

It's not about power level or win rate. It's not a skill issue either. That character is just taking away all fun from my side of the equation so I decided to answer in kind.

My goal is to frustrate them as much as possible so they'll lose against their next opponents as well. If I don't get to enjoy the game because of their decision, neither will they.

Hi, I'm an independent game developer looking to start working on his dream game, a 2d isometric metroidvania. I'm a game play first kind of guy so I intent to start with the main character moveset then build the game around it.

So, I'm actually looking for 2 thing
First, the main character design: A girl with baggy pants and medium-long hair. She have a modern look but also need to not look out of place in a gothic medieval castle of some sort. When fighting, she move like a jet powered Shaolin monk, moving around the battlefield thanks to an assortment of punches and kicks. She use melee range Ki attacks. The character is 5'6ft.

As for the main part, I want a 8 directional top down

Hi Reddit, I'm looking to learn Rust by making a custom game engine. While looking for a 2D library I ended up on arewegameyet but I have no idea which one would best fit my need.

I'm going for a top down action-rpg engine. The graphics will be pixel art and the map tile based. I intend to stack multiple tilemap to simulate z-levels.

I'm looking for something as lightweight and fast as possible. What would you guy recommend?
