As title says, I am pretty sure cooking station isnt supposed to look like that. I dont have any ENBs or whatever and I am on OG version, pre broken high-res update.

Concrete in few places looks just as shiny and weird. It affects mods too, recent Sister Lacrima mod instead of proper texture is the same reflective silver. I tried looking up info but couldnt find anything at all. I dont even know WHAT is broken. Cubemaps? I only found few in Vtaw mods but dis

As far as I can tell I cant even see mid run which double tactics I've picked and which I still need so I cant even just randomly start getting them, I need to tailor my mind crystals specifically for 1-2 double tactics I wanna get; its even worse that most of them suck ass and I would never go for them in a normal run to begin with. How did you guys get yours? Just mindless grind with crystals and plan like I do or randomly stumbling onto them across dozens and dozens of hours?

(Though if I were running to win I'd just go all light + icicle summon each time and win on easy mode; tactics could use some serious rebalance on buffing side...)

Asgore

Asgore was done DIRTY in Undertale, this isnt even an opinion. We hear so much about him back, then encounter him for one short fight aaaaand he is gone!

So when Deltarune showed up and Toriel and Undyne got jack in terms of character presence, I hoped against hope that just like with Gerson, we get to see more of Asgore as he is similarly underused character and Toby would finally do him justice.

Nope. Asgore spends 4 out of 5 chapters being butt of a joke, then does a lot of vagueposting*, a glimpse of a character moment aaaaaaand he is gone!

For fuck's sake, Asgore didnt even take a stab at The Knight. I dont even ask winning, just a bit of a show!

Why thank you Toby. T

Months ago, I argued that dev team's priority should be finishing the mod for good and then do polish. So in case something goes wrong with the development at least fully finished version of the mod exists with finished story and everything.

I was called pessimist, doomer and brushed off. People were discussing years long plans as if it was nothing. But I followed large scale mods for Bethesda games for a good time now. I know that there's no such thing as stable mod dev team. Calamity's past history proves it in spades. The truth is, large scale mods die all the time at the various stages of completion.

Calamity had A LOT of drama in the past but it feels like this time we as close to "It

So, if you dont know it, Left 4 Dead has this thing called Director AI or The Director. Its an AI (for those who dont know, AI in this case is basically NPC behavior because I know someone would try bringing up LLMs and shit) that oversees game session and changes everything depending on the situation player are in.

The most famous example, in L4D if one of the survivors gets cocky and runs ahead, Director AI will respond to that by sending horde or a special infected disabler like Hunter to punish them. Director can also help the survivors, after intense fight Director would dial down spawns so people can take a breather.

Currently, as far as I am aware, there's no such system in HD2. E

War Strider's entire problem isnt how tanky it is or how oppressive it is. Its that its oppressive and tanky while also spawning in huge numbers. The exact same thing AH did again later with Vox Engines.

War Strider to begin with is a very busy unit. It's capable of inflicting massive damage via its cannons (if it hits anyway), acts like a pressure unit due its health and has grenades to smoke people out of the cover. On its own even that would've been fine but when you have many of them, you need a quick solution; however defying bot's theme to which even Vox Engines adhere, War Strider is like Sheer Heart Attack - it has no weaknesses. Its weapons are tanky and dont do anything to main he

Turns out, when you dont have hard gear check that invalidates 3/4s of your loadout, bug front is bearable.

Biggest winner is The Hammer. With Bile Titans, you NEED hover pack/jump pack to deal with them, which deprives you of backpack slot that can be used for something else like Supply pack, Portable Hellbomb or Ballistic Shield (if you melee diving). Sure you can build around those two but the fact that is basically mandatory with hammer is annoying - not to mention that if Bile Titan just so happens to have magical kill field you screwed by default. You also cant wing it with something like AC or ABRL which CAN kill Chargers in timely manner but cant or would take forever to kill just a

Just a series of random rants about game and community

1. Tribalism got fucking insane

Ever seen the twitter meme? "I like waffles" "So you hate pancakes?" This is exactly how community feels as of late. Even this sub just became a mirror of glazer subs, instead haters doing the exact same thing but in reverse. Its fucking annoying that you can no longer have actual discussion. Recently did a post about Commissar Kai getting into beta test and people apparently consider him glazedvier??? I dont even like him that much and disagree on quite a few takes of his, a little or completely. But fuck you mean he is glazer??? He is optimist trying to make best of the worst but he never shies from calling things what they are. This is just one example
