I get that Rolex is by far the most (and possibly best) replicated watch brand for vintage watches but I can’t help but wonder if/when we will see other brands show up? Omega? King Seiko?

I know some of those brands vintage watches aren’t all that expensive but it would be amazing to see some variety and to be honest I would love something like an Omega Geneve Dynamic or a vintage Seamaster Anakin Skywalker (or even a Darth Vader) but with a more modern and easier to service movement.

So it’s my birthday and I want to maximize the value I get on my birthday drink.

That’s where you can hopefully help me out, any suggestions on how to absolutely get the most value for it I can within the rules? What should I order? What to ask for?

I’m a huge chocolate fan so any suggestions would be helpful since I assume I can’t just say it’s my birthday and I love chocolate so go wild…

I recently found out that my father in law has an antique Rolex (I believe it’s from 1924 or 1925, he wasn’t exactly sure).

It’s due for a service and while it’s been to the RSC in Toronto before (he thinks 15 or 20 years ago) it’s definitely due for a service now. Given that it’s a 100 year old heirloom I am skeptical of sending it off to the RSC after hearing of their more recent issues with vintage watches. It has left me wondering if there is a good independent who can service it (ideally in Alberta or BC)? Or should I just tell him to let the AD ship it off to the DSC and have them do the service?

Im looking to get a sense of price for a vintage 70's GMT Master Pepsi in seemingly good condition (running and recently serviced) complete with its original box and punched warranty paper guarantee and the original sales invoice?

May have stumbled on one for sale and interested in knowing what its really worth.

Edit: It has 11 links on the oyster bracelet, both the bracelet and the watch itself show some signs of wear (more on the bracelet to my eyes). The bezel shows a patina of age but is I think pretty decent.
