Was out walking the dog tonight and saw all the hoarding and fencing, and the sign on the pool fence. Starting a rebuild of the pool and deck, and a new change area. It says completion by next fall, so expect the pool is probably out of commission next summer.

I probably missed a notice somewhere, but was surprised by this. Hope everyone finds a spot to cool off next summer!

Any recommendations for a place like this in the south Etobicoke area, or slightly farther afield? Do places like Radio Shack even exist any more?

I’m mucking g about with some ESP32 projects and have been sourcing stuff from Jeff, but would be nice to have spot to walk into for parts, etc.

In today’s (no spoiler here), I made my starting word. I got three letters. My next moves are always to use those letters, because why not?

The bot said a better guess would have only used two of those letters, better narrowing down the field. But that guarantees I wouldn’t get it on that guess. Maybe that’s statistically better, but it’s tactically a terrible choice. It’s also guidance with the benefit of hindsight, not with the information you have in front of you at the time.

Anyone know what happened in Mimico Harbour this afternoon with the TPS tactical team and marine unit? Was walking by there and saw the back half of them boarding that derelict/transient boat (Persistent 1) which dragged its anchor and drifted in toward the sailing school in the wind on the weekend.

My family is starting to plan a trip to Greece in Sept 2027, and we are planning a charter for a week out of Lefkados. I’m starting to try to figure out some of the details (knowing flights change and all that), but I am hitting a wall with flights to/from Preveza Airport.

There don’t seem to be any flights to/from Athens out of here in mid-September. Is this typical?

The airport website is showing arrivals from a bunch of other European cities…do we need to fly Toronto-(London//Frankfurt/Vienna/etc)-Preveza instead?
