I get together with a group of 10ish friends for coffee every few weeks on a Saturday or Sunday. We are currently meeting at Living Room Coffee in Campbell due to its large size, but honestly, I find their prices high and their coffee mediocre. Are there any other coffee places that are large or just slow on weekends that can accomodate a group of that size? I'm looking for anywhere from Campbell to Los Altos but prefer Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Cupertino, or West San Jose.
I just found out I won the lottery for Michael Franti tickets. 🎉 I’ve never been to the festival before, and I will be coming from the South Bay. It looks as if parking at the Daly City BART station and taking the bus in would be a good option. Is this the case or is there anywhere better you would recommend? Any other festival tips would be appreciated for this newbie!
I have a paid membership. My adult daughter just bought a kit. For her to have access to all the features, can I register her kit under my account? I don’t fully understand the “managed by“ accounts. How would her access to features differ if she had her own account but I managed it?
I had no idea that fondue is actually served as a main dish. Here in the US, I’ve only had it in shared settings at parties as an appetizer. I’ve actually been vegan for five years, but I’ve been incorporating a bit of dairy into my diet partially because I want to partake in real fondue! That said, I only want a small portion since gi distress on vacation doesn’t sound like a good time! If three of us go to a restaurant, is it acceptable to order one fondue pot and two regular entrées and share? If this is generally not done, but you know of places that are OK with it, please let me know!
I will be visiting Tulip Time next week, midweek. Are advanced tickets necessary? I will be there for a portion of two days and would prefer to keep my schedule a bit flexible. How long should I allot for this event?
I’m looking for advice on the best time of day to attend this exhibition at the deYoung in June. Last year I went in the morning toward the end of the run and it was quite crowded. Since the run is short, it’s understandable, but I’m wondering if members previews or afternoons might be less crowded. Any advice based on experience is appreciated.
What are the predictions for this year’s bloom in relationship to the timing of the festival? If it’s too early to tell, how far in advance can you generally tell?
