I'm treasurer for a local scout troop and track our annual fundraising and spending in Excel. Each family has their own worksheet to track things like activity payments. I have a VBA macro set up that will create an email of their transaction history but I need to figure out how to send it.
Based on the active worksheet, I want to use the family name in cell B2 to lookup the Contact 1 email address from column G in the Roster worksheet from the Roster table. I've tried a couple different methods but, as a rookie, I think I'm just getting the syntax wrong.
This is what I currently have:
Sub EmailFamilyBalance()
Dim ws As Worksheet
Set ws = ThisWorkbook.ActiveSheet
I'd like to set up a formula which will sum the votes that each combination of 2 players give each other. From this example, Gene gave Nick 24 votes, and Nick gave Gene 31 votes, for a total of 55 votes. Currently, I have it set up manually in a similar table, but there's always a chance more names will be added.
The source data is just a table of records that contain the name of the submitter, the name of the voter, and how many points were given.
For some context, the votes are for songs submitted weekly to generate a themed playlist. We all distribute a bank of votes eac
I've played casually for 30-odd years and just recently started enjoying cribbage apps and paying attention to the hand analyzers. Something that threw me off yesterday was a hand (2,3,3,7) where the analyzer said the "Minimum" was 6 points. I kept staring at those 4 cards and could only see 4 points. Then it dawned on me that, regardless of the card that was cut, it would add at least 2 more points. I happened across another: 4,5,6,8
Is there a collection of such combinations where any cut card will benefit the 4 you keep? Perhaps it's more beneficial just to learn the best/worst discard combos?
