Thank you, Bottlerock. Cut copy was like one of the trippiest dance bands one can come across. And i mean, in their genre, they are like modern day pink floyd. There is a psychedelic flare in their music. Even after being super tired, we danced non-stop for an hour on their set. It was so meditative and so much fun.

When Lamark and Darwin were in their different historical moments attempting to explain adaptation in the history of living system they thought of adaptation as a variable, and seeing the medium as a preexisting “container” to which the new organisms had to accommodate.

Given this premise they felt that the happenings of the individual life histories had to have a presence in the life of their offspring.

So, they proposed different approaches to the subject of adaptation suggesting different views of inheritance to make a historical connection between the successive generations.

What they could not see then was that adaptation is necessarily a constant relation of operational coherence be

SF is a great place to be. There is hiking, concerts, great food, clubbing, art etc etc etc. But lately every activity feels mechanical. I can't talk to a random person on the street. I almost always have to book an event via meetup. Some of the posts say pick an activity you like, show up a couple of times and you will make friends. I have tried but the talks felt more transactional. Am I the only one feeling like this. Any recommendations..

I've always revered Kevin Parker's music from Innerpeaker to The Slow Rush, his evolution was brilliant. But Deadbeat just feels like a low point.

The lyrics lack the depth and introspection that once defined Tame Impala. Musically, it sounds like a generic blend of house and psytrance and like a rip-off rather than an evolution. Where's the soul? Where's the emotion?

Is it just me? Or did Deadbeat really miss the mark?

Hey y’all. I really enjoy the EDM scene in SF, especially the music and community energy.

That said, I’m hoping to find venues or events where the focus is more on dancing and the music itself and less on the drug-heavy side of things. Totally respect everyone’s choices, just looking for spaces that feel more grounded or mindful.

Any recommendations for venues or promoters who lean more in that direction?

Thanks in advance!
