Direkt in Erde.

As the title suggests I'm still using blender 2.9 for creating/modifying geometry for printing.

I saw a lot of things improved or got changed for Blender 3, but only for people that want to render or animate stuff.

Is there someone willing to share their experience when it comes to only modifying geometry, is it worth learning where all the things that got rearranged are in the newer versions?

Hi,

while looking at gcode with Notepad++ I noticed something I can't explain: Gcode from the identical .stl file using the same profile will generate very slightly different gcode.

What I did:

  1. Added the "XYZ 20mm Calibration Cube" (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1278865)

  2. Set the profile to my preferred one.

  3. Sliced, saved the gcode

  4. Switched to another profile

  5. Switched back to my preferred profile

  6. Sliced, saved the gcode

  7. Opened both gcode files in Notepad++

On the first try it differed even at line #3, one file reads:

";Filament used: 1.09403m"

the second one:

";Filament used: 1.09402m"

Using the "Compare" plugin for Notepad++ it is very obvious the some

When searching for this I found an old post with exactly the same question. There was a similar (but not identical) question which was linked as "good enough" on StackExchange.

When looking at the answer given at StackExchange I noticed the rocket was calculated as having no payload, nothing on the third stage (see: emtpy mass 10 t).

I couldn't find a source where the Apollo Spacecraft was included so I gathered all the numbers and threw them together myself.

Combinded delta-v (m/s)|delta-v of stage|fue

This is not some kind of homework question, I just noticed a pattern, I think.

I have been interested in chemistry for quite some time, and i noticed all nitrogen compounds I know are not the most stable form. This is especially noticable in explosive compounds, but it also happens to be the case for some very simple things like N2O or NO2.

Car manufacturers are using expensive technology to prohibit these compounds entering the atmosphere and the process is exothermic, so it would (should) happen anyway given enough time.

Is there a known reason why N2 is the most stable compound of this element? Is there any other compound containing nitrogen that will not revert to N2 given enough time
