So I made an armor system based on how I didn't really like how FNFF or SNSD delt with blunt force trauma(your BTM couldn't reduce damage to 0) So hears a kick at it.

AT/PT Armor:

Stopping Power is broken down into an Absolute Threshold and a Partial Threshold AT/PT for short; to get your AT/PT, half your SP and round up to get your AT and the remainder is your PT (13SP = 7AT/6PT). Your Absolute Threshold is capable of stopping all in coming damage but your Partial Threshold is only capable of stopping 1/2 rounded down of all incoming damage. An example of this armor system being used would that your armor has 13 AT and you take 17 damage, your Absolute threshold stops 7 points of the inco

Preface: This is speculation to an Nth degree.

So Something I think a lot about is that R.A.B.BI.D.S is apparently based on a twisted variant of SoulKiller which I think is weird thing to point out because they do completely different things. R.A.B.BI.D.S is supposed to collect the data of megacorps and release it to the media; In contrast SoulKiller transforms a persons mind into an A.I. called an engram. Personally I feal as though their must be some reason that was pointed out.

Based on E.S.C's description I assume SoulKiller copy's the targets mind into memory then compiles that data into an engram. With that I am going to say that R.A.B.B.I.D.S does something with engrams or it's crea

So Skin tight padding is an armor from the interface magazines that is included in the hard/soft armor table, its 2020 version reduces incoming damage by 1/3 after armor is applied. Proportional Armor simplifies layers of armor into a single SP for the purposes of game balance. There are two things I found interesting about this.

Firstly is that Skin Tight has no stopping power but Proportional armor relies on comparing stopping power; Secondly Skin Tight is applied after cybernetic armor despite it being layered over cybernetic armor.

As far as the interaction between skintight and proportional there are two outcomes either you ignore skintight because it has no SP or it has a SP of 0. Fo

This is my first attempt at homebrew their is likely better versions of the material out there and you may need/ whant to balance it fore yourself; And also sorry for the quality these are screenshots of the document I wrote it in.

I'm a younger guy the cyberpunk 2077 trailers are what introduced me to 2020 and the the genre in general but the thing is what made me love cyberpunk was reading the 2020 rules, it's just beautiful in a way.

When I try exploring other more popular/newer cyberpunk media they just don't capture me the same way 2020 does even 2077 and edgerunners is like that , I enjoy them more then most other cyberpunk media but it's just not the same something's missing there; Personally I've attributed this to how the genre focuses too much on the big evil corporations and how there evil because they are big corporations and I'm probably typing out my arse here but in 2020 it just feals human in a way oth

Heyo this is a bit of a nothing burger but in at least the printing of cyberpunk 2020 I'm reading the Uzi Miniauto 9 has a fire rate of 35 but only a number of shots of 30. It is in both the weapon list and weapon description. Do you think that is a mistake and if not would you let a player empty a full mag reload then fire 5 more rounds.

A few days ago I made a post about exactly what cyberpunk is and made the claim that basely every major character was a punk in some form or way to exemplify this point I said that Suburo was a punk; I had push on that which inspired me to use the guidelines from the 2020 to strengthen my point and add it as a addendum but I felt it would get more traction as it's own post.

  1. Style over substance: Suburo has built several Arisaka towers around the world each exactly the same in a style that no longer exists outside of his influence.
  2. Attitude is everything: Suburo rules with his mere presence to the point that the only iron he carries is a knife.
  3. Live on the edge: Every meeting wi

The rules say that you may preform more than one action at a -3 penalty to each successive action.

To me that doesn't make sense it makes so little sense to me that I feal as though it is an error and that it is supposed to be for each successive action instead of to each successive action.

The way I would run it is for example: On your turn your driving a car lean out and shoot your last bullet at the car your chasing and then reloading ; that is three actions(Control, Shooting, and reload) so 2 consecutive actions beyond the first so therefore having a -6 penalty to all checks them being the control and shooting checks.

Do you agree or am I just stupid.

I have liked cyberpunk ever since I heard the Idea that you aren't saving the world your saving yourself; But recently I feal as though 2077 and edge runners has been straying from that with this idea that it is about classism, the common people vs. the corps. I feal as though having a common enemy ruins the idea of saving yourself not the world.

In my opinion it is a mistake to think only of those at the bottom of the casts as punks I would argue that most characters in cyberpunk is a "Punk" even Saburo Arasaka. After WW2 Saburo saw how Japan lost its pride and it became his life mission to regain that pride even willing to risk his life or at least the only part of his life he cares about

When playing 2077 I feal as though it is best to take a good bit of the game as flare to make the game and not actually effecting the cannon but you can't say that about the main story and V defeating smasher is used to prove their the strongest but I never liked that simply like it doesn't fit the feal of cyberpunk. I had a passing thought of what if when V fought smasher he wasn't fully mentally their.

Take this with a mountain of salt because because I'm not the most versed and I don't think there is any real evidence.

When smasher became became a full borg he was eviscerated so badly that they took what was left of him in a duffle bag. Full borg's actually have roughly the same life sp

Something that irks me in 2077 is that Regina in her questline says that there is no known cure to cybersychosis even though in the 2020 core rules it says the cure is therapy.

More specifically it says that someone on the edge who shows symptoms may choose to become a registered cyberpsycho and must attend therapy and recovers 2 humanity loss for every weak attended. A person who goes off the deep end and goes full psycho may be captured alive; all their cybernetics get removed or deactivated and they must go through instence therapy (brainwashing). for every weak attended of this intense therapy recover 2 empathy.

In chromebook 2 there is more in depth therapy rules intended for exotic

I hate helping people.

Health/Wellness/Fitness/Mental Health

It is a kind of spite towards them and myself. Who are are they to force me to help them but really I'm choosing to; More so I'm forcing myself because I'm just supposed to. It is that feeling that I'm not actually making a choice to be a good person but rather just doing what I'm supposed to do. I'm mad at myself for not choosing. Mad at the person I'm helping, the world for putting me a position where I can't choose.

I feal stupid because isn't what I describe, that feeling of not choosing just what a sub-conscious choice is.

The worst part I feel guilty for feeling that way; For hating those I help.

Sorry If that is dumb or to much venting probably should post it somewhere else just st

Dumb Idea I had

5th Edition

Initiative irks me so I often try to think of ways to homebrew it. I thought of something interesting but after pondering on it briefly I decided It was bad and had a variety of flaws primarly being too cumbersome. I decided to write it down anyway and then figured might as well post it so you can gaze on its horrors.

- A round consists of 12 segments called round segments.

- Each participant with no current initiative at the beginning of a round rolls initiative.

- To roll initiative roll a D6 add your reaction time which is usually 5 subtract your dexterity and add any other modifiers, if the result of rolling initiative is less than 1 it is replaced with a result of 1; An average In

I like looking through the equipment section of the 2014 PHB and just thinking about how thinking about how they can be used. I looked over the services table and realized I had never used any of the services or heard of them being used. In my mind this relates to the worthlessness of gold, would I or my players have cared more about gold if we had thought about what services it could do for us?

The question ultimately is if you as a Dungeon Master provide a problem and the players say we use this much gold to pay people to solve the problem do you as the dungeon master allow it? For an example let's say the players are coming to a city were the campaign will take place and they must find a
