Hello! This spring, we're hoping to level out a small section of our yard and make a brick patio for a gazebo. I would like to hire someone to do the hard work and heavy lifting. My mom has been in charge of yard work and keeps telling me she wants to do it, but she turns 65 this year and I feel like I want her to have more time enjoying the new yard project than time working on it.

So I keep seeing all this beautiful Irish crochet stuff around and hot damn I want to learn how to make it but almost everything I've come across seems to be geared toward people who already know a fair amount of motif and lacework basics and I'm like a step below the target audience. Do any of you lovely people have a beginner's guide sort of resource for me to take a look at?
