My GF and myself stayed at an Airbnb while our home was being repaired due to a flood that occured in June. I made the major error of not checking everything before we left and accidently left about $1k worth of my GF's formal clothing hanging in a closet after we left. We messaged the host and they didn't get back. Went to the house in person and they claimed our stuff would have been tossed by the maid service they hire after every visit. They don't seem to care about helping us, and we honestly suspect they still have it and don't want to give it back as we had issues with them after the first week. Would a small claims filing hold up or are we just SOL for the formal

But a week later her husband fell ill and they had to go to the hospital. He was diagnosed with a terminal illness that has been lingering for years untreated and there was

I'm coming up to my year with the company. Every since I started I was told that the pay raise each year is upto 50 cents. But now my GF, who worked for the company for 3 years before getting a different job, says that management doesn't allow the full raise due to it being a policy to NEVER give out a perfect score. I know with me I would never get the full anyways but just knowing they offer a 50 cent raise but it's against policy to give it. Is that even legal? In in Oregon.
