The autocorrect in my phone really wants Mork to be Mörk. Can I petition the community to change the spelling of Gork and Mork to Görk and Mörk?
Let’s face it, it’s way more metal and I for one think Görk and Mörk would appreciate that. Even if their first love is ska music.
what music do the other factions revel in?
in 1957 a 2000 lb steel lid closing a mine shaft, where Operation Plumbbob nuke took place, became possibly the fastest thing humanity has produced.
The writing prompt is: Due to Operation Plumbbob the aliens think that humans have a far more sophisticated planetary defence system then expected for our tech level. Hilarity ensues.
im just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me. The idea of a new edition just makes my inner monologue go “meh !”. To me the ADnD version is DarkSun and that’s it. I think it’s because it as a fully fleshed out world with long term support, but all official attempts at newer versions have been half hearted. I’m fairly certain that a new version will not be a fully fleshed out world, but just a single subliment. I’m basing this of their lacklustre Dragonlance and Spelljammer sets, or lack of follow-up. So I’m having a very hard time being excited for a new version.
what are your thoughts?
I see a lot of fantasy maps for medieval-ish fantasy worlds that are the wrong style for the era. Most often they mimic maps that are much more technologically advanced then the era they are describing. So my question is, should a fantasy map to look like in world artifact or not?
Sub-question. Does it matter what map projection fantasy maps utilise?
Oh, mighty hive mind. I come to the seeking answers.
*Short version.* What’s a good system to run medieval fantasy superheroes in?
*Longer version.* I’m listening to The Devils by Joe Abercrombi. The Elevator pitch for that book is: “The Suicide Squad but in medieval fantasy”. it’s intrigued me to run the same idea as a game, but I can’t think of a system that works. But I can’t think of a good system that I know that works. Any suggestions are most appreciate. Bonus points if the system uses the rules to push the themes of The Suicide Squad.
Honourable mentiones: GURPS is a good fit but combat takes to long in fantasy. FATE is another great choice but does not gel wit
One of the many dead saints mentioned in The Devils was a woman referred to as the keeper of the saviours sandals. her name escapes me right now. But fortunately I have a [picture of the moment](https://imgur.com/a/vuygO09). Did Abercrombie just put a Python joke in the book?
what is genuinely the best line from Tolkeinsr work to use as a pickup line?
