Idk what else I can do- and please let me know if this is a faux pas or I should post elsewhere- but I’ve seen a story developing for days in the r/pigeon sub about numerous birds stuck upside down overhead a train (or bus?) station.
The OP has managed to get animal rescues set up to take and help any injured, but has made no headway with the station to get the necessary access and preventative measures for what seems like a reoccurring and slowly lethal issue. I’ll edit with the cross post if that’s allowed, but wanted to get word out for ideas or those who may be able to help locally.
Tldr: there’s a developing story in r/pigeons about a number of stuck pigeons in a Boston transportat
Recently got a full metabolic panel done and my HSCRP level is elevated. Doc isn’t concerned as it’s still below the severe benchmark, but I’m stumped over it being even non-zero as it’s usually a problem caused by poor diet and sedentary lifestyle and I’ve eaten a healthy plant-centric diet for years and am active + exercise regularly.
Any others get screened for this and have insights to share?
I came across it late the other night in this sub and haven’t been able to find it in the recent 3 days of posts. Much appreciated if anyone has better luck digging it up!
My goal for summer is to learn to paraglide. Alas, Bellingham Paragliding closed and the only other para-specific school I know of is 3 hrs from here. I’m still fairly new to the area so it’s tough to tap into the paragliding community for recommendations. Hoping some of you gliders are also redditors and can give a neighbor some recs on how to formally get started. TIA!
I’m planning a drive from near Anchorage AK through BC to coastal WA and wondering if anyone has recommendations for dispersed outback car camping along the way, or stops I shouldn’t miss. TIA!
