New Mexico receives the most federal funding of any state. We are above Alaska.

The shut down will hurt us the most, right? Is it wrong to say 1/4 of be Mexico gets some income related to federal funding in some way? That’s the labs, contractors, universities, state and city governments. All top employees in the state. Even the local health system gets Fed funding.

Metals suppliers who don’t even work for a federal company will be broke by mid November and will start layoffs. Lab employees are already seeing furloughs, and more to come in December. With the labs, contractors and supporting businesses (like suppliers) at least 100,000 high paid citizens, the tax bracket that runs the loca

How to report old employer? CA tech startup lied on paperwork

Work Stories - how foreign guest worker programs affected me

I work in recruitment. My last employer was a foreign company that opened up a tech start up in California. Most of the company was from that country, and many people were hired on H1B, or spouse visas. I had to fill out paperwork for every H1B hire saying that we couldn’t find anyone else good for the job.

I thought you guys would find it interesting to explain how we did that, and then you can tell me how to report.

Two hours in the city council meeting to talk to one of the counselors. I approach her, I tell her who I am, and I’d say I’m just trying to get more involved in the local government. She says, I can help you out, email me.

I say: ok, I’ll email you tomlight.

She gives me a blink star. I realized I’ve said tonight incorrectly so I say: tonight, I’ll email you tonight.

This happens to me often. It’s not echolalia. It’s not Palilalia. Idk what this is. I’ll try to say a word and it totally comes out butchered. I can change words as I’m saying them, as I realize I’m saying the wrong word.

I work for a gov contracting company as a recruiter. The company is NOT a staffing agency. Focused in the DOE sector of fed contracting, we sit between staffing agencies and federal agencies as a multi million dollar profit small business. We were 2 recruiters. A new HR Director was hired a few months ago after the old one quit. The old one quit because the people problems at the company are complicated by nepotism, complications of sexism, and legal requirements of OFCCP. Adam, the CHRO, is bad at his job. Doesn't pay attention, doesn't take notes, asks questions he could answer by reading his email. Bad person skills. We may already have an employment lawsuit coming because Adam fired some
