Good morning. Has anyone qualified via the IAA exams? I’d be grateful for some career advice. I have a law degree and now work teaching refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. I would like to complete the IAA exams to become a caseworker over the next few years. I’m aware that I can’t enter myself for the exams. Which organisations could I contact to complete volunteering / training in order to eventually be entered for the exams? I am based in Manchester.
Hello. I’m a secondary MFL teacher with 9 years experience and I’m starting my first primary position in September in an international school following British curriculum. I’m looking for your top tips for my first year please and recommendations for a primary teacher planner. For info, I’ve done one year working with this age group as an EFL teacher and I’ve been a supply teacher in secondary too so used to thinking on my feet. Nervous but excited! Thank you.
33F haven’t lived at home since leaving uni. A few friends back home but they’ve all got their own lives and I’ve drifted apart from a lot of people. I’ve been living around Europe and England and I’m thinking about finally coming home. Worried about not fitting in and finding a place to live in a house share at this age. Any advice? 🙏
Just a bit of positivity. I do Cambly as a side hustle only. In the past I tried to make it my full time job and hated it. Recently I started committing to one hour a day and I’m not dreading it so much. I do Cambly kids so I get $12 an hour (when they all turn up). I think I hated it when I tried to do too much. It can be emotionally exhausting and quite boring to sit on a chair all day. But doing one hour a day I just feel pleased with myself for getting a bit of extra cash and I don’t dread it so much.
I’m moving to Liverpool in April and I’ll be a lodger for the first few months. In the future, I dream about living in the countryside and commuting to the city centre. I’d need a place for me and my two cats - one or two bedrooms. What areas in the countryside are good for commuting/ does this exist? I’m Irish from the countryside and trying to recreate my life lol.
Hello
Does anyone have any tips for finding out which companies sponsor visas in the UK or Europe? My partner is getting rejected here there and everywhere and I’m sure it’s because of his nationality as he has extensive work experience in his home country as well as a masters in geospatial technology. Thanks in advance.
My boyfriend of 6 months is about to become homeless and won’t accept any financial help. It’s through no fault of his own. He is here as a student legally and needs his documents renewed. He applied for this over 6 months ago. The documents have still not been renewed. In the meantime he cannot work and all his money he earned until this point has run out. He’s already rationing food and will leave his room to live in what’s essentially a storeroom with no shower or cooker or fridge in a few weeks. I’ve been going round to cook and share food with him which he accepts but I won’t even be able to do this when he loses the room. I tried sending him money for rent but he sent it back. It’s bre
Hi all, I’m Northern Irish and I’m moving to Liverpool in April. What advice would you give someone in their 30s moving there for the first time? I’ve lived in Bristol, Spain and France before but never Liverpool.
