If you put the post title into YouTube, you can see the short film I just watched.

I am not able to explain what my childhood was like to people. I think this film is the closest thing I've ever seen to that experience. It made me cry a lot, but at least it's something I can show to my girlfriend to explain what happened to me.

If you were neglected as a child it's something that probably will bring up all those old feelings but you might find it therapeutic.

I'm the youngest daughter in a family of Asian immigrants who had the culture of the eldest son is the little prince. My father once told me "if you didn't want to cook or clean then you shouldn't have chosen to be born a girl.", just to give an impression of what my childhood was like. I was the scapegoat and trying to defend my boundaries and arguing to be treated fairly was met with hostility for being unreasonable.

Through out my life I've had a lot of shitty encounters that would affirm that my rights are worth less than others. There are many instances, mostly work related that would take too long to explain.

I moved to Berlin in Germany to build a new life for myself. It has overal

I have a housemate who has been smoking weed in the flat without incident for the past two years. Suddenly he's gotten his hands on some mega skunk and has twice given me strong contact highs from him smoking in his room while I am in my room.

I feel like this can't be legal, to be drugged in my own bedroom against my will but the other housemates say "this is Berlin 🤷‍♀️"

So I'm asking here, this can't be legal??? His rights to smoke are above my rights to remain sober in my own room?

Update: someone commented then deleted that contact highs are myths. https://www.cdc.gov/cannabis/health-effects/secondhand-smoke.html#:~:text=Exposure%20to%20cannabis%20smoke&text=THC%20can%20be%20passed%

I can see myself working myself to the point of burnout quite easily. I am in the early stages and already feel so much self imposed pressure, even though I've strategized to have a little risk as possible.

Wonder if you guys struggle with finding the right working pace. Or pressuring yourself too much.

I'm going to Peru in a few months for a plant dieta with shipibo shaman. 14 days, 5 ayahuasca ceremonies, basically no socializing and just isolate yourself in your own hut for the non meal or ceremony times.

I've done days of silence at ayahuasca retreats post ceremony before but never this level of solitude or while dieting with another plant.

So if anyone has done something similar and cares to share a bit that would be cool. Thanks.

Book recommendations please. The kind of books I find on start ups are too sensational and not relatable to my goals.

I want to know the unsexy stuff that comes with starting a business, the nitty gritty. Things that can help me. I want a book that says, "ok. You're gonna jump into a swamp and most people drown. This is what you gotta look out for to not drown", as opposed to, "in 1993 such and such did a triple backflip into the swamp and came out a champion.. and you can too."

Topics / info about my business. Not yet founded. B2C. E-learning apps. Bootstrapping. Indie game dev studio. Budgeting, project planning, legal. Based in Europe. Lifestyle business. I'm not trying to be a millio

I (39F) live I a huge apartment with 4 other housemates. I get along with 3 quite well but one woman (36F) seems to hate me. I'll call her L. I thought L had a crush on me with I first moved in. I told her I was a lesbian and she said she was bi. She made a few subtle passes at me, shared info a couple times that was tmi but I tried to brush it off. Then she started criticizing how I was talking to her, that it wasn't sympathetic enough. When I showed sympathy for another housemate for his difficult situation she immediately said "oh so you don't feel sorry for me?", when the topic had nothing to do with her. I felt irritated like she was trying to police my thoughts.

I have a concept of adding tracking flags to my game and wondered if anyone else has done this to be able to process mine how users play the game?

In theory I would add default timestamps to a log when the player reaches different parts of the game or on specific interactions. I think this data would be invaluable for tracking how different builds of the game perform.

My game is a very small mobile puzzle game so there's only a few screens and it doesn't seem like a huge task to do. But I haven't tried yet so who knows in reality..

Just wondered if anyone has thought about or implemented such a feature before.

Hi, just curious if anyone here has experience getting grants to fund their games. Or pitching to investors.

What was the process like for you and did you feel like it unexpectedly influenced the way you developed your game in some way?

It's just a crap situation. We need to to sign a contract to kick old housemates off the contract who have already moved out. And put me on the contract. I've been living in the place for over two years and this one housemates has stalled putting me on the contract this entire time.

In the past 6 months her behaviour towards me got so bad that I told her I don't feel emotionally safe talking to her in private so if she wants to discuss things, do it in public. This caused her to be almost silent treatment with me for 6 months apart from angrily telling me how angry she is with me. Otherwise if I see her in the kitchen and say hi, she replies hi like a beaten woman.

I just want to give a space for people to share their success stories for other people who may be struggling in here right now. Answer the question as to why we keep pushing forward with healing when it's so long and painful.

Also I want to take the space to celebrate my own journey. I would say that since the age of 33 I really dedicated myself to healing my trauma. Like, going to treatments and integrating lessons in my life was the number one priority. I was struggling hard, feeling like I was drowning in anxiety and I just prayed for a day where I could feel ok doing nothing instead of feeling haunted.

I recently turned 39 and life is good. I quit my job that paid well but I was unhap

I made a comment to this post. Dunno how to repost another post on mobile.

Guy basically said my current girlfriend with childhood trauma doesn’t act like my ex’s and I expect to have stronger feeling by now (3 months in). It’s her low self esteem that’s the problem so how do I change that about her.

She told him her trauma background and mental health issue but still expects her to be like his ex’s. He thinks he’s great cause his ex’s said so. I called him out for being entitled and told him

Sorry if this is old news. Saw a twitch stream of a programmer looking at the Chat-GPT 4o demo videos and they completely modeled the female voice from the movie Her. The male presenters talk to the AI normally and the female voice AI replied so positive warm and flirty to everything they said.

The twitch streamers even joked that the presenters were getting horney talking to the AI and the Twitch Streamer joked that they should have called it Chat GPT-4H for hentai.

One of the videos showed two AIs talking to each other and the second AI was a male voice that was polite but almost subservient like talking to his boss in a friendly manner. The difference in tone between the two AIs coul
