Normally you see one of the bigger sellers, Forge/Fire and others selling thousands of boxes near distributor cost with free shipping, but we havent seen it yet. What gives?
Most likely none of you were in the pokemon hobby, because it had nothing to do with investing and was pretty much just made up of players and long time collectors. There was a card called Shaymin that was played in nearly every competitive deck.
This was around 2016 and back then the boxes were selling for around $260-$300 which was a lot for a booster box that originally came out in 2015. Then a few months into 2017, Pokemon out of nowhere decided to reprint Roaring skies and it absolutely decimated those who had bought and were holding Roaring Skies boxes.
If you don't think pokemon is going to reprint Destined Rivals or one of the other popular products you are deluding yourself.
In another couple months we will see the same post we have been about other displays, Just like Warhammer 40k, Brother's War, OTJ and now the Fallout Decks(PIP) will be next.
Especially on foils. Current low listed on many foils is as much as half of the previous sold. Sellers getting nervous and another huge wave is about to get released.
Terrible pull rates, horrid duplication. I had 3 of the same elite in back to back to back packs. 2 Boxes in the case only had 4 foils and no Unique foil in the entire case. A total of 4 Elite foils in entire case.
Are they in the foil slot back in the commons like Alpha and Beta, or are they now in the rare spot?
What is your take on prices of sealed Avatar right now, do you believe it is under or over priced? I see people who think it is way over priced and is going to tank, then you have quite a few youtube stores and influencers who say it is going to spike.
What is this thread's take?
Go in with a list of cards that have a single printing or are only printed in wildly specific sets like Jump Start, theme decks or commander sets with no other reprints.
For example. Say a card shop said they will always have copies of Rhystic Study or say Skullclamp always in stock, but you had to pay as much as 30% over market value, would you pay those prices for the cards for the ability to know they would always be in stock, or would you just go online and wait to get the card in the mail.
And why I say 30% above market because to be sure they always had stock of the card they would continually have to keep buying inventory at market price from the market to make sure it stays in stock. 30% is about that margin a store needs to make on items to stay in business... it's definitely not a growth number, just a sustain number.
She is called BitterBloom Bearer, but I am going to coin the name CritterBlossom because time and date stamps. But anyway, even with a format that has Fire Magic and Star Caller's Cage I think a lot of people are going to spec hard on this card.
For those that don't know what it does. It is basically a Bitterblossom on a body, a flash flying one at that.
If you don't know what Bitterblossom is... go away.
These decks are given to stores free of charge and are meant to give to players that are new to the game. A deck is given to the person who brings the new player and the new player themselves.
You can go on TCGplayer right now and see numerous WPN stores selling these decks right now and notice they all have similar quantities because most WPN stores got 2-4 of each deck. WPN Premium stores got as many as 16 of each deck I believe.
You can see many of the WPN store names on their TCG player listing, I would encourage reporting these stores as these decks are not supposed to be sold.
What in the world is going on with this license and why is Marvel/Sony being so difficult.
Seeing as EVERYONE will be replacing equipment and need new enchants and augmentations to their gear, which ones did you stock up on for the patch?
