Semi new player, I just started doing derelict freighters. I understand that you can rerun the same freighter and it'll always give the same quality/class module at the end. For sake of saving time in finding one that gives S-rank, do the salvage containers give the same rank as the final prize? I've done 3 derelict freighters, all had C-rank modules in the salvage containers, and each gave a C-rank technology module at the end. If the modules in the containers are always the same rank as the final reward module, then I can just quit the derelict early when I see C-ranks in salvage containers

Has anyone had any luck permanently disabling the rear seat belt sensor? Whenever I have someone riding in the back seat, I have to ask them to plug in the middle seat belt so that the sensor stops beeping. I've tried turning it off (some process that basically involves unplugging/replugging the relevant seat belt several times in short order). It worked for that trip, but each time I got in the car after, I got a pop-up advising that sensor is off and asking if I want to leave it in that state. I guess it turns back on if you do not respond and I guess I must have not responded in time bcuz I've had the sensor reactivate on me, and it's done that twice now. Any help would be appreciated
Most of the parts I see about the update involve frame drops, crashing issues, etc. But what confused me is that the duping glitch isn't getting more conversation. People are aware of it, but all of the comments are essentially afterthoughts. Meanwhile, I'm staggered at the possibility of that in any PVP setting (I haven't played PVP since ASE, but the demons in my head from those days still run deep). Duping high level dino/weapons/armor to have a backlog, or duping and then grinding for a massive influx of resources seems nuts to me. And how do they even begin to fix the ripple effects of that??
When I played on ASE several years ago, we feed our gachas with seeds. Bronto for very run -> iguanadon for seeds -> gacha for food. Does this still work on ASA? The wiki says not to use berries as the hunger drains faster than berries can refill, and it seems a reasonable assumption this would apply to seeds too.
Side info: Single Extinction server so no transfers, so no Plant Species Y. Still early-mid game, so we have resource gathering dinos but they're not max level, so we're trying to optimize as best we can

Sorry if it's been asked, but I cannot find what feels like a definitive answer. Can Mantis be tamed on Extinction? Our small group is in a single server, so no transfers to other maps. I've never tamed a Mantis and assumed I'd be able to in the desert biome on Extinction, but all I can find are reddit posts about this one spot in a cave that seems to not work anymore. Anybody know the definitive answer?
Can we get a megathread for all of the "should I get this/is it worth it" posts? I'm in a few separate Ark subreddits and it seems like the vast majority of posts that come up fall under that heading (with second place being taken by "what is this floating thing").
I play Aberration on single player. I tried the platform cart + fridge recently for refilling feeding troughs. It consistently prioritized bros over meat when filling an empty slot in the trough. I thought it was because I'd used Amarberries and Cianberries, and those came before meat alphabetically, but had the same experience with Tintoberries. Is it user error, or is there some setting I need to switch or something?
Some friends and I are just getting into this game and I've noticed a pattern with most of the musings we've done so far: We squad up in the open world and run around together. We each talk to the quest giver. Then we ask run to the range place that inevitably has a did we each have to enter, only to find...a single player section. We each finish that bit of single player, walk back or into the open world and group up, only to have that process repeat. Is the game multiplayer only while in the open world, or do we eventually get to start doing other things as a group?
I imagine everyone's seen the info about the one loot create in the goatskin cave that has Scorched Earth items in its loot table, thereby allowing solo players to get cactus broth on Aberration. Is this still a thing? I cannot find any info online about a change, but equally, there's nothing SE related in the drop tables page of the Ark wiki as far as I can tell
I and three friends want to play Ark Ascended together. I've heard about tether distance being an issue if I use my console. My understanding is that I have to real options:
--Get an extra (fifth) console to use as the server. Buy Ark and PSN access and set that console up as a non-dedicated server.
--Rent a server from Nitrado (I know about the ill feelings in the community towards Nitrado, but tbh, my buddies and I are more invested in just playing the game together in whatever the easiest form is).
Are there drawbacks for one versus the other? I'm not a tech savvy person, so am trying to bumble my way thru so my buddies and I can ride frogs together
I'm pretty sure I accidentally changed a setting in my Note20 Ultra 5G and now the phone won't automatically disconnect from a wifi network when in out of range. It just stays connected to the wifi network and says there's no connectivity. If I turn wifi off and back on, the phone will use mobile data and then reconnect to the wifi when I'm back in range. Someone please help me figure out what I did so I can change it back. Every Google search I've done for "android wifi won't auto disconnect" being back results for "how to make your phone stop disconnecting from wifi" which isn't my particular issue
I have a Playlist full of 1 or 2 hour mixes. I'll find one while on YouTube, let it play for a while, and if I like it, I'll add it to the mix. I prefer YouTube for finding new music, and YouTube music for just playing music if I'm not looking for anything new. On the days I go to YouTube music to pull that mix, any video that I click starts at the timestamp it was on when I added it to the Playlist. So if I listen to 10 minutes of a video and then add it to the Playlist in YouTube, it'll start at 10 min whenever I play it in YouTube music.
Any ideas re: how to fix this? I haven't found anything in YouTube Music re: editing the video URLs. I tried deleting a video from the Playlist, navig
Decided to finish the bestiary and I'm only missing 3 entries: crimson/corrupt/hallow sandshark variants. C'mon game, I've been watching for a sandstorm for the last 10 hrs of in game play. The number of times the wind has been over 30 mph and it's been rainy (especially at night) but no sandstorm spawning is insane
