I review games, so I need multiple devices connected to my setup. Here's the list of equipment, and the list of SONOS gear. Since I was up till almost 4 am trying to make my Onkyo work well with my Sonos setup only to have it completely screw itself once again in the morning, I'm looking to remove it entirely. What I need is a good HDMI switcher.

TV: Insignia QLED NS75-UQFL26

Devices:
PS5 Pro
XBox Series X
Sony UBP-X700M BluRay player
Nintendo Switch 2
High-end PC
NVIDIA Shield TV for NAS Streaming

SONOS Gear:
Arc Ultra
ERA 300 x2
Sub 4

Can you point me in the direction of a switchbox that would support all this and not make me want to tear my

I got a Sonos Arc Ultra and the difference the AI center channel upgrade made is a game changer for my mom and I (I have military-related hearing loss, she's 80 and uses hearing aids). I'm a believer at this point, and I'm considering jumping in with subs and 300s and all that. Here's the rub --

Also in the living room I have:

A PC
A Blu-Ray player
An Xbox Series X
A PlayStation 5
A Nintendo Switch 2
An NVIDIA Shield connected to a NAS

Right now all of that is going through the Onkyo receiver I have, and no matter how much "Works with Sonos" it says, it's far from what I'd call a "smooth" experience. I have no idea why SONOS isn't printing free money with their own switchi

I'm not a pro by any stretch, but I feel like no matter what I do I'm spending a great deal of time fixing colors, even after I apply the SLog3 LUT in DaVinci Resolve. Here's a prime example:

This is with overhead lights courtesy of a crummy overhead fan, then an overhead with a GVM Softbox (link) and a 80W studio light (link) at a 45 degree to the right pointed at my face, and another at 90 degrees off to my left. I

The program sounds like it's a solid education system based on reviews (which I know can be faked) but I'm concerned when they ask for a few grand to join the program. Is Call to Leap legit? Or am I just fooling myself? I don't have any practical investment knowledge - I'm kinda winging it, so I know that's what the program is for, but it doesn't make me any less nervous. Handing my money to a financial advisor seems like a great way to get M.C. Hammered to zero, but maybe I'm wrong. A little guidance would be greatly appreciated. Anyone with direct experience with Call to Leap?

iFootage Nano II mount / pivot option?

Technical/Equipment Help and Information

Right now I have the iFootage Nano II mounted to two A300 Round Base Monopods topped with Seastar Q1S Quick Release systems. It's stable for side to side, the DJI RS4 Pro doing it's thing. The questions are these:

Is this stable enough to use a single mount point in the center with a ball head of some kind that I can create angles with? Having it go up or down an angle to create some different "looks"? Anyone done this?

I put a Seastar Q1S on the endcap so I can stand it up vertically, and that works for having it go up and down. What's the best way to secure the top or midpoint to create stability rather than me just holding the top of the device for stability? Again, would it

Hoping this is ok to share but I took what I've seen in our three hands-on opportunities, all of the various videos, and all other scraps of info I can possibly pull together for this preview:

I think the game is shaping up magnificently, and it's top of my personal must-have list for this year. Maybe it'd help summarize things for somebody still on the fence.

Almost there folks!

Some unsolicited resume advice from a longtime leader in IT

Removed: Rule 7 - Wrong Title/Wrong Flair

Just spent hours (days?) going over dozens of resumes for a Lead Engineering position and I felt like I should pause and post in here for those who need to hear it. In short -- tailor you resume if you want a job. I know it's a lot of work, but apply for 5 jobs a day instead of 50, and spend the time tailoring it to the job description.

- I have a near 99% reject rate at this point because, for a Lead Engineer position that actively lists what clouds we're working in, what scripting language we are looking for, etc. we have so many resumes that don't list those things at all. Yes, I'm reading your resume but I'm also looking for specifics. If this job is leading an AWS team, I'm gonna

Relaying what I uncovered as I talked to D+/Hulu support today about their supposed military discount program. Yes, I recognize that I'm whining about a discount, but I feel like this community should know that they've managed to somehow make this both unusable as well as somehow more expensive / worse than if you simply do nothing. Here's what I found:

If you're military or a veteran, you can get a 25% discount on Disney+ and Hulu!. You do that by going to the base Exchange site and applying a code. Unfortunately, what I found when talking to support is that this has severe restrictions applied to it.

First, you can't use the bundle. You have to purchase two separate accounts

I'm on a FX-30 I got less than 30 days ago, brand new. When the camera is on my iFootage Nano 2 it works like a charm, starting and stopping like it's supposed to. Pulling the camera off and with no accessories, when I hit record nothing happens.

I'm in movie mode, I've factory reset the device, and no dice.

I've also set the camera to use the shutter button to try that and it doesn't work there either.

I've also tried another CFAST card. A brand new OWC Atlas Pro 480GB one. No change.

I checked the half-pressed shutter lockout thing. No change.

Checked the operational lock (hold menu / Fn for 5 seconds) and that's not it.

Turned off HDMI recording with HDMI Raw Output (off).
