What happens when you take an ACM style programming contest, smash it head long into a drinking game, throw in a mix of our most distracting helpers, then shove the resulting chaos incarnate onto a stage? You get the contest known as Crash and Compile.

Come see us early on Friday in the contest area, we will be between HHV and Pinball if the map is to be believed. You will need to be top 10 in the qualifier round on Thursday in order to compete on stage Saturday with free beer. And free distractions.

LLM use is allowed, but we are allowed to make fun of you for it. Or make you take a drink every time it randomly searches for the challenge answers on the web pointlessly.

You will probably

Hook up the electrodes behind your ears and use steering mode to drive yourself (or others, with consent) around, or throw it in wobble mode and watch the world sway back and forth, or play built-in games which can give you a small zap when you fail.

Batteries and personal lubricant included (no joke, it helps electrode conductivity).

Half of the profits go to Tor.
Also don't put the electrodes on your balls

Buy in-person, $75 at the hackerwarehouse booth in the vendor area at def con. No pre-order, first come first served.

80% lowers, whether pre-serialized or not, whether finished or not would be effectively outright banned.

Lawfully finished home built firearms, even if they are serialized are not serialized in a compliant way, which involves an FFL putting the abbreviated part of their number as the prefix of the serial number, with record keeping requirements.

As it was legal to privately sell a personally made firearm, this could ensnare people with no idea. Pre-engraved 80%s have been commercially available for a while so it can have professional looking engraving. As well as catching anyone that has an unfinished 80% or similar sitting around.

There is no grandfathering, and it's retroactive.

Missed season EP

Question/Help

There's no way to finish spring now that it's over right?

I don't even know if it's worth doing contracts anymore. I was the top player or near the top in every single contract. I boosted with free boosts immediately and then maxed out when I had the tokens. We finished all of them.

But somehow that's not good enough to get the reward that matters?

Flew out of there last August, and it was so bad. An hour to check a bag, including 15 minutes when every AA employee just abandoned the counter (apparently shift change and the replacements were late, so everyone just left?), plus an hour for TSA line. Then after I missed my flight despite getting there 2 hours early, another 40 minutes waiting in a line to reschedule a flight. To AAs credit they rebooked me free no questions asked after I mentioned the checkin counter situation.

Anyway is CLT still a disaster? My main other option is ORD but then I'm pretty much going to have to use a different airline.

I've noticed that more often than not, uploading a file named Dockerfile, chatgpt can't read it. The thinking models will note this in their thought log, but 4o, lazy as always, just assumes what's in and and tries to pretend it can read it, which is annoying as hell.

Anyone else notice this? Is it a hard block on that specific filename? They can read compose.yml fine, just not Dockerfile.
