So I am staying in Lochcarron for my first trip to Scotland in October. I'm staying for two weeks, and I have been curious if I need to carry cash? Will most restaurants accept card and do the parking kisok accept cards? Just curious how much cash I should plan on bringing with me.

My itinerary is very loose but my plans are to see the sights in Isle of Skye, Glencoe/Fort William and a few things in between.

So I travel to Scotland at the beginning of October, I have heard the weather will be wet, cold, foggy and will change rapidly. I would just like some more personel reports on the weather other than what I get from Google, I will be spending 95% of two week trip in Isle of Skye area. I'm planning on getting a good jacket for the trip.

My next question is dinner reservations, are these something I should be making now? Or can I wait til the day of to eat at places? Im from the US, so we dont make reservations here unless its a special occasion, but my sort of concern is, what if we're driving to some place and see a place we'd like to eat, can we just walk in or do I need a reservation for e

So Ive been on a binge lately playing Halo mods. Finally tried out the Havoc Mod, Ive only played the Silent Cartographer and 343 Guilty Spark (the mod gives them different names btw) and while some of it is a bit much, its overall a fun experience. Storming the beach on the Silent Cartograher was amazing having a ton of Marines to fight alongside you.

But while that is fun and amazing, I would like to talk about what this mod has done to 343 Guilty Spark. It had made it scary again! This mod has made me feel fear for the introduction of the Flood that I havent felt since I was 4 years old playing Halo for the first time back in 2002.

Now some of it is a bit much, for example the cutscene

I read the NPS site about Stargazing at Cadillac but it wasn't clear about how it works. Road access is closed after a certain point and it made it sound like you cant stay parked up there if you make a 6:30pm-7pm. But it made it sound like you can hike up there no problem at any time.

I revisted the tribute room today, and was flooded with nostalgia and memories of playing Halo with friends. I remember the first time we entered the Tribute Room, we probably spent an hour or more in there, carefully reading each data entry and checking out each picture. I didn't realize it at the time, but Halo was closing out a chapter, and today when I revisted the room, it was very sad.

This time, I had to perform the process for the Tribute Room alone, no friends to help me survive to the end. No one to stay outside so I could respawn if I died trying to activate the button. Just me.

And then when I finally made it to the room after dying a few times, it was still just me. The Tribu

I am curious if anyone flies near the Snowbird VOR on a frequent basis. I frequently visit a location in the area and was interested in some aerial footage of the location. I'm due for a flight review currently and dont have the funds to rent currently either.

If I put in a Personal Leave for 3 scheduled work days and it gets denied, is it correct that if it is denied I will only be pointed for 2 days?

Ecclesiastes 1:18 "In much wisdom is much sorrow, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow"

My favorite Bible verse and I believe it speaks to conspiracy theorists very well. I, like many here in this sub have been very interested in conspiracy theories and the hidden truths of this world. But it has come with a price, the more I learn, the more I realize how hopeless our world is. How everything is practically a lie. No one on this Earth is coming to save us. And as the verse says "he who increases knowledge increases sorrow" so the more I learn of this world the more depressed I become.

I just wanted to write this as a cautionary tale to folks. Ignorance is bliss, take some time

So I have an 08 V8 5.3l and Ive had an issue whenever I crank the truck lately. I turn the key, but the truck fires up very strangely, it makes a tick tick tickk sound almost like the sound you here when someone's trying to start a car but it won't and then eventually cranks up. After that everything works great, truck drives like normal and everything. It doesnt happen everytime I start it either, this will be the 3rd time its happened over the past month and a half of it happening. So the 2nd time it happened I decided to take it to the shop, bc I thought it may be a starter issue.

I took it to my mechanic who said he tested everything, the starter, the alternator and the battery (battery

Please dont spoil anything further, I just got started with the first episode. But anyway, the girl who was just transferred from a human to synthetic body, is watching her brother and during this he starts to watch the movie Ice Age and she goes on a nostalgic trip basically with a flashback to them both as kids watching it on a CRT TV.

My only issue with this is that at the very beginning of the show, the year is shown to be 2120 or something like that. And that girl is probably a young teenager before she gets transferred to the synth body. So she should never have watched Ice Age on a CRT TV unless she went to a museum. If anything it should be some form of a flat screen that are every

Steve Downes is currently 74 years old, has retired from radio and I'm sure he will retire from voice acting eventually. I would hate to see AI take his place like Star Wars is doing with Darth Vader.

In Universe John-117 is 49 years old, he's also getting older and Im not saying its not possible but Im gonna have a hard time believing that a 60 year old Master Cheif is still kicking alien ass, if they keep Chief around for a few more decades.

So my proposal is that Halo Studios give the Chief a proper death, something heroic. Something that let's fans that were part of Halo since CE, make peace with the franchise (cant think of the right words to use). For example, Sgt. Johnson, I think
