Earlier this year, I read The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene, which makes a proposal for string theory. It was written in the 90s, I think. Currently, I'm reading The Trouble with Physics by Lee Smolin. It's something like a rebuttal to Greene's proposal, saying string theory has a number of serious problems, especially that there is no experimental data demonstrating it's claims. That book was written around the early 2000s. Both books look forward to what the Large Hadron Collider will reveal.

But that has now happened. Now that I've read these books, I want something in the same vein that explains what the LHC has taught us. Can someone recommend a book that does that? How has it affec

Probably going to be buying these parts before much longer. I'm not new to building PCs, but I've never built anything specifically meant for playing video games on three big 1440p monitors. So just wondering if this is already enough juice. What kind of framerates should I expect out of this assuming I'm playing on one giant 7680x1440 screen? The motherboard and PSU can evidently handle four GPUs, so I could buy more of those if I needed to, or a couple of more powerful ones. I'm open to recommendations on that front as well, keeping in mind that I'm a little budget minded. I'd rather not drop more than 3 grand, I think. Thanks ahead of time.

Hey PCMR kin. I'm going to build a badass gaming rig this year. I'm willing to drop a few grand on it, maybe, but want to know what I should go for. I'm weighing the options - I could go for 144 FPS, triple monitors, 4K, maybe all of that! But where's the real value? What kind of build do I realistically need to put together to handle these things? Some older articles on the net have led me to believe 4K is nearly impossible to achieve 60FPS on, and I assume it's not impossible if I'm willing to spend enough money, but where does a build that powerful fall on the cost/badassery scale?

UPDATE: I ran up a build. I've built I don't know
