I am rich.
I see a lot of poors "spending money" and "having nice things". Nice things that I myself could afford if I were a spendthrift, degenerate lowlife.
How and why?
Don't they know they are POORS?
Don't they fucking know they have to be a RESPONSIBLE CHEAPSKATE PENNY-PINCHING TIGHTASS with high wages, thrifting, stealing ketchup packets from the convenience store and raiding the local foodbank for decades until they have $10,000,000,000 NW before they can materially improve their lives?
I genuinely want to understand. Inheritance is all I can come up with, which isn't virtuous like the diligent, lentil-hording frugal FIRE-Bros on Reddit.
Early 30's recently passed the $2,000,000 mark (not including home equity like a "poor"), we're on pace for $12,000,000 by 50. We splurged by sharing an entire Chipotle burrito lol. Just curious as to what stats you guys had "realistically" before you felt not as dirty because I'm pretty exhausted rn. At what point can you stop using the food bank, stealing ketchup packets from the gas station and shopping exclusively at The Salvation Army?
Oh, and we're averaging $600k-$800k per year income.
Might be the wrong sub since I don't think we're UBER wealthy yet, just 98th percentile, but hoping to feel that way some day.

Thinking about going to the Gorge this year, haven't been in nearly 20 years. Which night would be your recommendation? Think last time we did Sunday and it was great. Not camping, not doing more than one show. Thanks!
We’re headed down first time for 10 days next month. We just learned our local cell carrier in the states does not have a roaming cell carrier partner in Costa Rica. Considering looking for a pre paid sim to drop in while we are there. It’s not entirely needed because we can probably get by just fine with WiFi but just wondering what options there are. Flying in and out of Liberia and spending most of our trip near Samara.
Thanks!
Scott Bessent says Uncle Sam is underwriting Mr Milei’s laboratory
On September 22nd, 15 minutes before Argentina’s foreign-exchange markets opened, America’s government made an intervention. “Argentina is a systemically important U.S. ally,” Scott Bessent, America’s treasury secretary, wrote on X, a social network. He added that the United States “stands ready to do what is needed” and that “all options for stabilization are on the table.” “Argentina will be Great Again.”
It is highly unusual for America to stand behind another country’s currency in this way. Mr Bessent’s declaration was prompted by intense and mounting pressure on the Argentine peso that threatens to derail the economi
Alright guys, pulling 8k trailer about 150 miles all good. Came up a hill and noticed my EGT fell off down to about 500 from 1000. The truck also started to shudder , lose power, blue smoke. Got off the highway, changed the CPS as that is the only spare part I have. No change on starting the truck, blue smoke, shudder.
So I disconnect the trailer, pull the truck up so my buddy can come get it and the truck seems to run fine now after that second start. Any ideas? Not losing any fluid. No more blue smoke. Truck sounds fine I am thinking about just driving it home without the trailer.
