With an HT802v2, how do I set a default area code for when a 7 digit number has been dialed? Right now, I can't make local calls (that work) without entering the area code as well.

Does anyone know what I need to set in my router (Netgear R7000P) to accommodate my new IP Phone ATA (Grandstream HT802v2)? "IP Phone" port routing to the device? Or would the Grandstream self-identify what it will handle to the router when it connects? (My IP Phone provider accommodates SIP and IAX2.)
I have family members going crazy from all the spam and robocalls (every 15 minutes in one short period of time I checked) to their home phone. They had Comcast Xfinity phone, but that didn't do a good enough job, so I set them up with Ooma, but it turns out that one of the features I need (voice CAPTCHA) is only available from them at $30/month. As a former pro software developer, now I'm not trying to learn enough to find out if an Asterisk install on something like a Raspberry Pi will let me do better. I see that caller ID lookup is available at no charge (TrueCNAM) and Nomorobo might be (somehow) useful.
Am I going down a reasonable path to solve this problem? All the telephony stuff is
What is the simplest and fastest way to add me (or an Administrator) to a file or directory (or one of them recursively) security access list with Full Control? In my mind, I would have to put the current owner into a variable, then take ownership, add myself to the access list, and then reassign the owner back to what it was. But I doubt that would be fast, because it is changing one file/folder at a time through a whole tree (when recursion is desired) which sometimes will be tens of thousands of files.
I just spent 2 hours writing a 200? line response to a post. Being wary I copied into my copy buffer before I clicked Reply. When I clicked reply I did not get an error. Because I got no error (which sometimes does happen), I thought it worked fine (and overwrote my copy buffer). However, I checked back and this post was not saved in the thread or in the list of comments in my profile. This is beyond annoying. It is simply gone, since I'm not going to rewrite it.
On another subject, sometimes I will take a long time to write a post and I do get an error trying to post. Saving my text and reloading the web page and then pasting it allows me to post successfully. But this is an error having t
Is there a way to undo an accepted chat request so that it will ask me (Ignore/Accept) again if the person sends me another chat message?
I disassembled my drill press quill assembly to replace the bearings and didn't take pictures. Now I am reassembling it and have more parts than I know what to do with. There doesn't appear to be an exploded parts view of this exact drill press anywhere online, so I looked at similar drill presses, but they don't have the parts in question. Does anyone know where the bearing stack and the little trapezoidal piece go? Both are on the corner of the table nearest the camera.
Is there a better forum to ask this question in?

I have searched the web looking for cabinet handles that look like this one. Is there a web site with a very big selection of cabinet handles (new or used)? Has anyone ever seen this before? It would have been purchased new by a contractor 10-13 years ago.
I'm using the Modeling workbench in Object mode. I have 4 cuboid objects with some regions chopped out with boolean-difference modifiers—3 of them created with Alt-D. I created a 5th object to merge with the original by using a boolean-union modifier to fill in a space I mistakenly chopped out. After I apply the union, the linked objects do not show the newly unioned part of the original object.
My questions are perhaps obvious:
(1) what do I look at to verify that the linked objects are still actually linked,
(2) since I'm sure they are still linked [I didn't switch anything to single-user], why do you think they are not updating as I expected, and
(3) what do I do to propagate the ch
College probability (not that I ever learned anything) and calculus (in which I did learn something) is decades in the past. If I have an n-sided die, n > 1, what is the average number of rolls it will take to roll my first '1'? (I typically would be using n = 100.)
It's 1/6 to succeed on the first try, 5/6 * 1/6 of succeeding on the second try, 5/6 * 5/6 * 1/6 of succeeding on the third try, etc. It looks like it might be a limit calculation, but 'm not sure how to write a formula for that—and not sure I would be able to do that calculation any more. I'm not sure the magnitude of that formula doesn't indicate that it will go to infinity, which would mean, in my mind, there is no av
In a dungeon, when I get a message that an item as been added to the loot, I start hunting around for the chest so I can right-click on it. This slows the party down if I don't spot the chest right away. Is there any way to make the Need/Greed/Pass dialog show without me having to find and run to the chest, or failing that, a way to keep that dialog open throughout the dungeon run?
Does anyone know of any books for 9-15 year-olds that discusses the evidence that indicates the Bible is true/Jesus is real/etc.? I am aware of Case for Christ for Kids, but it doesn't have quite the right kind of material.
I had a Windows 10 installation working (for months), and wanted to make another partition to boot a Linux distro from. The Linux installer requires manual partitioning. I've tried most of the following both with the partition as unallocated and formatted as Ext2 or Ext4.
While in Manujuro-KDE Linux Installer (Calamares), I discovered that it wouldn't accept that new partition to progress to the next step, including after making the Ext4 partition an extended partition with Ext4 + /boot/efi + esf + settings. I did not figure out a way to proceed.
I rebooted to Windows 10, well, tried to boot to Windows 10, but my UEFI couldn't find an operating system. Booting from a Windows 10 Installat
On all of the half dozen distros I have tried (live off a USB stick), when I go to install the OS to my SSD, the installer shows that it doesn't know about the partition I created for it (while using Windows 10). It only shows me the entire SSD. From Windows 10, I can see that I have a 1 TB SSD partitioned with 2 big partitions: 680 GB which has my Windows 10 installation on it and a 250 GB unallocated partition. (I also tried formatting the 250 GB partition with Ext4 and it is no more visible while in Linux than when it is unallocated.) All the distros seem to use the same installer software.
I originally allocated the 250 GB partition with AOMEI Partition Assistant, and the Windows 10
