Grabbed a few 5 packs of Crowned Heads La Careme when I saw them. I'll try one this weekend to see if they're as good as folks say.

Didn't think I'd get a chance to try these, but here we are.

Rose of Sharon probably gonna be first once they rest a little.

It'll take me some discipline to make em last. We'll see how that goes.

Got a few things in the mail today.

I love this lady more and more every time we hang out, especially when she shows some teeth.

Construction and draw were flawless, powerful smoke production.

I'm still refining my tastes but I got a lovely sweet milky coffee note between the first and second thirds.

A Sunday with Mi Amor

Had to grab a few other things when my local place got Epernays back on the shelf.

Illusione Restock

Got a few of each of these to try out. Particularly excited for the Aladino and the Pledge.

Mail Day

I've only been smoking serious for a few months, but I haven't had a Corojo I didn't love so far.

The Rojas Bluebonnet is no exception. I loved this immediately.

About as sweet as gunpowder at first, with this really pleasant bitter note that reminded me of unsweetened chocolate behind the toast and leather.

Turned a little sweet in the middle and even sweeter in the last third. Kind of a burned marshmallow/cookie dough thing at the end.

I'm getting more. These are excellent.

Evening walk with a Bluebonnet

Spent 45 bucks.

Who's got unusual pairings that worked out better than expected or got hilarious reactions from purists?

Become ungovernable.

Loved the charter oaks I tried so I'm really looking forward to this.

Exploration of Foundation

I was not expecting how pleasant and easy this one smoked. I'm a beginner and a big dark 60 gauge perfecto named "Vengeance" was a bit intimidating. Went great with a strong mocha.

Slightly uneven burn but it's drizzling rain out here so I suspect that isn't Kristoff's fault. Lasted a bit over 90 minutes.

Vengeance Perfecto on a Sunday

Still learning what I like. What would you smoke tonight?

I'm really drawn to the Hemingway because it's Friday. So far I've loved every Maduro I've smoked, so I'm also excited about the Oliva.

Habano after breakfast, Maduro and a Lagavulin 16 on my afternoon walk.

I'll definitely be getting more.

Tried the AJ Last Calls today.

Follow up from this morning's Last Call Habano. This Maduro was even better, though that might be down to a way better ignition this time on my part. They guy who said I was in for a treat was right.

Had a double of Lagavulin 16 alongside it and smoked it all the way to the nub. Definitely another one I'll get more of.
