Hi All, First time mead maker, long time beer brewer. Bottles carbonating after a couple of months in storage, unclear on reason because I sanitized religiously, campden tableted the brew as part of the back sweetening and confirmed that there was no fermentation for several weeks after. 7 bottles in total, a couple are confirmed fine, others gush a bit when opened and the taste is a little tangy in comparison.

As a beer brewer the only thing I can think is that some of the bottles have picked up a wild yeast? What do you reckon and what should I do with the carbed bottles, can they be saved? Thanks!

LA accom near the surfliner train

Route: Mexico // Vacation

Hi All,

I'm flying in to LAX from Australia to ride the Baja. My plan is to catch the Pacific Surfliner down to San Diego, but its first night options I'm after. Bearing in mind a 15 hour flight, lugging a bike box - most ideal option would be some bike friendly accommodation near the surfliner line, even more ideal would be somewhere I could store a reusable bike box (otherwise it's cardboard and dump it, but need to find another for the return leg). I'm sure someones done this before? It shouldn't be this hard, but LA is just so vast and not exactly a cycling town! Cheers

Hi, Property is a 1950s weatherboard in SE Melb. I'm adding insulation and class 4 vapour wrap, before replacing weatherboards. Battening out from the current studs is not an option, so I only see one option to provide an air gap and that is to use 75mm insulation which leaves a small 15mm air gap to the class 4 wrap. Is this air gap still necessary with class 4 or can I get away with just putting 90mm insulation batts in there? (Obviously preferable from a purely insulation standpoint, but it'll totally fill the cavity). I've searched high and low for the answer to this to no avail. Cheers

Hi, I updated the firmware on my clip 5 and now it turns off after 30 minutes even when there is stuff playing. I've tried hard reset and repairing, it's so annoying. Any ideas how to fix?

Hi, my system is an old Sherwood AX4050R 2 channel amp, Boston Acoustics CR97 speakers and XB4 sub. I have a projector with Android onboard, so I normally use the RCA output from that to drive a sound bar. Recently I've ran the RCA into the amp instead and movies sound great!

However, I noticed that I always have to turn the volume down on the amp, relative to my other sources (CD player etc). Last night one of the speakers started popping with heavy bass on the soundtrack (was an earthquake in the movie), this is even though the volume was not up loud. I realized that projector itself has a volume and this was up as high as it would go, obviously doesn't affect the sound bar but I'm guess

Hi, wiim pro plus running through av amp using RCA cable output.

Basically, very impressed with sound quality using Spotify and SoundCloud. Radio is a different story, sounds worse than fm. I've tried tunein and even direct url of high quality streams. There's distortion. I'm a bit disappointed TBH, the unit works great, just not for radio streaming. Any ideas what's wrong, or is this just a weak spot?
