My wife has been looking for more games in this specific niche. That is, more "cozy" or relaxing games where you do a simple job, but that's more focused on the community and story than just a sandbox. She's especially been enjoying the 3D, third-person ones. For either PC or Switch 1 would be preferred.

For reference, the two she's most loved in this genre have been Lake and inKONBINI. Both of these are perfect examples of what I'd be looking for more of- her only gripes were that she'd wished the games were longer.

If you have any suggestions that are m

To be clear, I'm not trying to say the inclusion of all the various skins, auras, etc. is a bad thing. I've played and enjoyed that exact stuff a lot in the past. I'm just in the headspace for less of that lately.

Is there any notable, populated servers where shinies and legends actually have rarity and worth to them? That is, a server where it shouldn't be expected that every player have boxes of functionally meaningless shinies and legendaries? My ideal would be something like PokeMMO where things are even significantly harder to get, because I feel like this positively contributes to longevity of the game, but I'd be so happy with just an experience closer to the default games. I'm planning to GM a new campaign and trying to decide between a few systems. I've narrowed it down to Dungeon World, 13th Age, and Fate Core (with some modifications), but I'm open to other suggestions too.

What I'm looking for:

  • A system that allows for GM prep but also supports improvisational play
  • The ability to create NPCs/monsters on the fly without detailed stat blocks
  • Clear character progression that rewards players (levels, meaningful gear)
  • Traditional-ish combat that my D&D-experienced players will find familiar
  • Less complexity than D&D, but still structured enough for players who prefer GM-led games
  • Support for personalized characters with rich backstories (option

As title states, I got the Wooded Grove landscape and was kind of disappointed to find this out. It has a small stream on the landscape, which seemed like a nice opportunity to have a sort of sideways upgrade, like trading out pond fish for river fish.

However, you can't fish in the stream, and there is no more pond. Fishing just can't, as far as I can tell, be done on the Wooded Grove landscape. It's nice having Bahari slightly closer, and I know it's minor, but it still feels like it's just straight-up a downgrade over the default plot— so I wanted others to be aware, as well- in case anyone is thinking of buying it and this would be a deciding factor.

How are the other landscapes? Any s

I know there's likely no way this could happen to begin outside of theory, but if so, would the offspring be a clone, or would it have "less" genetic variance than the parent?

I have only a basic, rudimentary understanding of genetics, but as I understand if a parent has both dominant and submissive parts of a gene, the dominant will express and the parent has a 50/50 chance to pass down each part.

So, in theory, could both the sperm and the egg carry the submissive gene even though they come from the same parent? Like could a perfectly-sighted parent have a color-blind offspring? Or would the offspring result be functionally a clone of the parent?

I've seen some people saying they set up their Micro SD card ahead of time, loading it with ROMs before their device even arrived. However, I've also heard that the Retroid itself will likely need to format the card, and then ROMs should be placed on it.

Is there any way I can format the card to accommodate Retroid ahead of time, so that I can start loading up my ROMs now? It's 1TB and I'm planning to use Daijisho as a frontend, if that makes any difference.

I fell in love with horror as a young teen through the works of Lovecraft and Paul Zindel's novels like Rats, Reef of Death, and The Doom Stone. I've lately been craving a similar sort of horror, but more adult.

Most of the horror I read nowadays deals more with things like evil people, animals, ghosts, demons, or aliens. While I love these, as well, it's just not what I'm looking to sink my teeth into at the moment.

I've been craving a horror that is more focused on the other-ness and inhumanity of the monster. Something that is simply not compatible with our existence. Bedfellow did a decent job of this, but it felt like it pac

I'm just looking to see if anyone has any tips on what are the largest houses that do not have additional loading screens, like doors between interior and exterior. Even if they only last a fraction of a second, something just jars me about being in a different "zone" than the rest of my house.

I'm currently holed up in the Colossal Aldmeri Grotto, and I adore it for all of these reasons. It's by far my favorite I've found. But it has made me curious- are there any other similarly large single-map houses?
