Hi all so with cyclocross season coming up I'd love to enter some races mostly just for fun, so either open category or cat 4/5.

I've been anxious to enter though, because while there is a Non-Binary category, it is grouped with the women's races. As a masculine presenting person (who to pretty much anyone appears as a straight cis male) I'm not sure if I'd be comfortable actually racing that category, and worry I'd also make others uncomfortable.

I'm a pretty strong cyclist and have some experience with this type of riding, so may actually do OK, which makes me feel worse if I were to pass people.

I also had been on feminizing hormones for about 6 months, but stopped for the past 2 yea

Isntreal Tahini taking over

Solidarity With Palestine :69cca65438dee283e596:

I was reading about how many wikipedia articles are being subtly edited to highlight colonized Palestine, saw this example when looking up Intel Fabs (they have one in Isnt'real but it's old and less relevant yet somehow the first image).

So now I was just shopping for Tahini and looked up "best Tahini" and mutliple articles top recommended are Soom and "365" tahini....both products of Israel. Is it just a coincidence? Maybe, but fuck that when I can get Lebanese Tahini.

How do I get rid of cracked solar panels in the Northeast US?

So I pickup up some cracked panels (front glass fully shattered) that the previous owner had put clear epoxy over and used. I thought they were useful for being basically free, but realizing it's not worth the risk and they are old panels at this point too.

So I'm planning my first PA system build, already have plans to make a simple compact vented sub with the B&C DS100, and want to make a top to match. I got a good deal on a B&C 12CL64 and like that it's lightweight. I want to build an enclosure for it, and love the idea of synergy horns and the like, but the coaxial drivers are kind of out of my budget. Right now I want to make a simple 2-way speaker with the B&C DH450 compression driver, crossing at 1KHz.

My main question is if there are designs to keep reflections to a minimum coming from the Woofer? Any kind of horn/waveguide for a 12" woofer?

I might just end up selling the 12" driver and building a SyntripP but even that needs $600

So haven't been out in Manhattan for a minute, but a chance to see Darren Styles (and Schnife the Yak) got me at Eden last night. Venue setup was not ideal for how crowded it got, but I will say the sound system was nice, and crowd was overall vibing and dancing. It was overally much better than I expected and I had a great night.

Crowd was much younger than expected for Darren styles tho like what?! I know him from this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJqQJ4p_p4M

I usually don't use it because I know better, but sometimes I forget why I don't use it then almost get creamed by a car turning right without looking or hesitation. Nevermind that the rest of it has cars parked fully over in it, turning into the garage, and people walking between cars into it.

Hi all, so I have a project coming up where I need to drill 10,000 1/4" holes in 1/8" thick aluminum. This will be on a router so I only have mist coolant (and also don't want to use much as I'll be drilling straight through into my MDF spoilboard) and am worried about chips sticking to the drill and causing breakage. What tools should I be considering and what should I expect for tool life?

I plan to run at my minimum RPM of 6000rpm and feed around 50IPM. Looking at carbide drills but not sure if they will be worth it if they are more brittle and break more easily. Thinking maybe m42 Cobalt could be preferable and far cheaper.
