So we've all seen the pictures and video of armed folks in tactical gear standing around ballot dropbox locations. While it isn't a foregone conclusion, let's assume that this isn't simply an intimidation tactic, and instead assume it's a good faith effort to protect the integrity of the election.

In that case, what purpose are they serving? Let's say a "mule" shows up to drop off a bunch of ballots. This raises a bunch of questions immediately.

Is it illegal to drop off a bunch of ballots?

Are these armed folks qualified to determine the legitimacy of any ballots?

How would legitimacy be determined without they themselves violating laws regarding ballot security?

Is it legal to detain

So let me see if I can explain this clearly enough...

We have a machine that can assemble one of 50ish items. These items each require between 1 and 5 ingredients, and most ingredients are used in more than one item. The machines are arranged roughly like this. The central square is the machine, the single points the connections, and the outer squares are boxes. One box for the output of the machine, and the other 5 being some mix of ingredients this machine needs, ingredients for a nearby machine, or the output of a nearby machine. Each box contains only one type of ingredient or output item. It is typically implemented as a tileable hexagonal pattern whe

So I've been disabled and out of work for some time. My only income is non-attachable and I don't own anything that anyone can actually come after. Inflation is hitting my budget pretty hard since it's not like my benefits have increased to go along with it. Since obviously my credit, which is already quite poor because it's been years since I even had any credit, will be trashed for the next several years, I want to make the most of it.

Any help would be most appreciated.

So searching for radio telescopes I found that there are almost none currently operating in space and historically very few as well. Most of the big radio dishes in space are turned Earthwards for spying purposes.

As a layperson this strikes me as strange because it seems like a radio telescope would be significantly easier to build and launch than an optical telescope.

A few possible guesses come to mind based on my small amount of astronomy knowledge:

Fewer advantages over land-based observation, relative to an optical scope?

Interferometry using huge numbers of smaller ground based dishes simply more useful?

Some engineering challenge I'm not considering?

I'm new to RP-1 and I was trying to join the RP-1 Discord and it wants me to verify a phone number? Is this legitimate? Either way, I currently only have landline and VOIP and neither of those are apparently valid. I tried messaging the admins/moderators but none of them accept DMs and there is no support channel accessible to unverified users.

This is very unusual, as I've never before seen a Discord server requiring personal information like a phone number. Is there some other way to get verified? Or perhaps another Discord that has RP-1 discussion going on that doesn't have this unusual verification?
