Can anyone advise me of a way to convert ukelele fingerpicking patterns to cuatro please? A source which can do it for me would be amazing. I'm in B3, F#4, D4, A3 tuning.

Thanks!!

I have a tenor ukelele which I have restrung and retuned to A3-D4-F#4-B3 to match the tuning of a cuatro venezolano.

The finger positions for the chords on a tenor ukelele and a cuatro are identical, they just play different chords. For example, a G chord on a ukelele is the same finger position as a A chord on cuatro.

I'm extremely new to playing anything that isn't a drumkit, so please forgive my ignorance.

Does anyone have a list of the ukelele chords and the corresponding cuatro chords?

I'm struggling a bit.

Thanks.

Just as the title says. Can my spanish speaking friend download the app to learn another language? Or is the app only available in english? A good friend of mine speaks spanish and spanish only, but they really wamt to learn english. I'd love to get them some english lessons as a gift, but need to know if I were to do that on preply, they would be able to utilise the app in their native language. Thanks!

I've recently become good friends with a Venezuelan man and I'm taking Spanish lessons with a Venezuelan woman. Both of thrn have said my name many times. Both of them have read my name many, many times. My name is Tyrone. Both of them occasionally call me Tayrone when they write it. They pronounce it correctly, but occasionally spell it incorrectly. Neither of them know each other and they live hours apart, so they're not conspiring on a practical joke. So it raises the question, is it a feature of Venezuelan Spanish to add an A after a T or before a Y? Why would both of them make the same mistake on occasion?

I am trying to get a n Australian passport. I have all the forms of identification required for my own proof of identity. Do I really need an original of a parents birth certificate (I was born in 1991)? I live very far away from my parents. I can't simply go to mums house and pick up her original birth certificate or passport. Is there another way? I don't understand why the information on the birth certificate isn't good enough and they need a physical copy.

With Skype closing down, I'm looking for an alternative all with the following features: Free. Video calling. Messaging. Language translating.

Skype is my only means of speaking with a close friend of mine who doesn't speak English. I need to stay in contact with them. I'd be distraught if I lost them... Skype has that live translating feature where I speak in English, then a voice repeats what I said in their language, so my friend can understand what I'm saying. When she speaks her language, skype translates it and repeats it in English for me to listen to.

Will this app have a feature like that?

And will this app be available worldwide?

As we all know, Skype is closing down soon. Skype is how I speak with a very good friend of mine who doesn't speak English. It's our only means of contact, and I'd be distraught if I couldn't talk to them again...

Any ideas for a substitute app? I need the following features: Free. Video calling. Messaging with language translating. Audio translating during calls.

Any idea of an app that can do all this?

¿Cuál es el costo de vida en Venezuela ahora? ¿Por una semana con todo lo necesario y poco extra? Lo siento para mi Español mal. Yo hablo Ingles y estoy apprendiendo Español.

I'm not sure if this belongs here, or in an English language sub. Hopefully it's acceptable here.

I have a friend who speaks Venezuelan Spanish, but is trying to learn English. She is struggling with the pronunciation and feels a little disheartened by her attempts. She has tried to learn multiple times in the past, and she feels English is too difficult for her.

Does anyone have a useful pronunciation guide for English words, using Spanish pronunciation as a reference?

For example: The number two is pronounced similarly to the Spanish word Tú.

I'm trying to map out a few basic English words, numbers and phrases to help her pronunciation and teach her to form basic sentences. Hopeful

Triplet grooves

Drum Cover

I'm VERY new to drums. I know the basics. A few rudiments, some 16th note grooves, a few fills etc. Very basic stuff. I've been playing for about 2 months. I'm trying to learn/cover my planned wedding song. Lover - Taylor Swift. I've got everything just the way I'm intending for it to sound, except the last approximately 30 seconds where the drums ramp up a level. I'm struggling to find any triplet grooves or fills that sound interesting enough to play, but are still easy enough for my experience level. Does anyone have any suggestions? Youtube hasn't been very helpful. Thanks 🤘

There's been a few people I've spoken to about dental work in my local area and a pattern has emerged. The dentist completes the regular check up/requested work, then reaches for more tools to do additional work. The patient tells the dentist they need a break down of the pricing before any additional work is performed and the dentist ceases work. This suggests the dentist was going to perform work without the patients consent. Would someone be within their legal rights to refuse to pay for the additional work if the dentist does not seek consent first? If the dentist insists the added work must be paid for, how should the patient progress?

TLDR; If a dentist performs dental work without th
