Minimalism is a philosophy to declutter your life style and help you focus on the things you care about most. It's not meant to make you unhappy or force you to throw out things you care about.

I see so many people on here trying to get rid of things they want for the sake of having less even at the cost of their happiness. A way of life is meant to make you happier and more content. Forcing you to pick between adherence to a philosophy or happiness is not what minimalism is about.

Minimalism means something different for everyone. It means living with the least you can live. That doesn't mean abandoning everything. You pick what is minimal for you.
