I have been rank 1200 and I am now low Immortal, but I sometimes get matches with fellow low Immortal who seemingly play on a different level, more similar to the experience that I had being top 5000. So I am curious how often top 5000 players smurf. Sometimes you see that the account only has 500 to 1000 games then it is kind of obvious, but some delete stats in their profile, so you don't know at all.
Many might say that it something like "intentionally making bad decisions to actively lose the game". We all know the obvious ones like walking down middle suiciding, staying afk farming forever, farming jungle from min 1, buying Rapier and dying on purpose, destroying your items etc.
*But when exactly is someone not actually griefing, but they are just stupid enough for you to become angry and report them, because they ruined your game with stupidity (in your mind)?
*If you do overwatch reviews, how does the players rank affect your decision making to put guilty or not on them?
I just made an overwatch review and the player was lifestealer mid Archon player, he was up against Viper, ne
That's all I have to say.
People often punish bad allies with reports which over long periods separates the player base. So these players who sometimes gets reports for playing differently, just worse, more aggressive, more passive, more defensive, different heroes, "wrong" heroes in a particular role. Whatever the reason is they are getting separated, then they play with each other, gain or lose MMR like in higher behavior score. Either direction, then if they raise their behavior score again after their MMR has changed then they become either a smurf or acc buyer depending on the direction their MMR changed, because they've now switched back to the normal high behavior score.
I am Immortal on my main account and I am in a smurf pool either where players have about 0 - 100 games unranked, sometimes I there are people with archon and ancient and it's so fucking funny. They complain ALL THE TIME, they play like complete morons and they complain I don't go feed like them. I stay calm, farm and make plays that makes sense. They have some insane idea that people should always run together and fight all the time. They don't care about farm, vision, what heroes are capable of, positioning, lanes being pushed or not and they complain about me?? HAHAHAHA. They don't understand how they should play their role, how to farm, just run into enemies like complete clowns.
It won't work every time and now we have to play with Pudge in a bad position AND you clearly do not know how to play Pudge AND especially not in that position.
Fucking learn how to play against Pudge you piece of shit!
I hate Russians so much, I hope EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU DIE to Ukrainian bombs.
For me it is that I do play a lot of different supports, but I find that especially core players, who we all know usually want to pick after us, do not pick good synergy with you on lane and often not good synergy with you later either. Especially not if you play supports with low pick-rate. Not that strange really, if you have played your low pick rate hero hundreds or thousands of times, you likely know the better synergy with your hero than they do. I usually pick heroes that focus on keeping core's alive, but then they often still pick heroes that are geared more towards keeping themself alive as if they were playing with supports who will not keep them alive. I get it, they are used to
I frequently do Overwatch reviews and I am surprised to see how many people play classic mode and often there seem to be a conflict in what role they should play, then when two players want the same core role one of them goes to play jungle. I see nothing wrong with that, neither wanted support so neither wanted to yield the farm to the other, so instead one of them choose to go jungle. Now people seem to get angry and they report him, but neither did anything wrong since there is no roles, you can play in whatever manner you want besides actively going down middle feeding and yet I see a lot of reports for this. If you play classic mode then this shouldn't be a surprise, it should be expect
As we all know reports are not strictly done when someone is intentionally grief or ruin a game. Often times someone makes mistakes or enemy is simply playing better and thus someone dies more than usual or without getting anything in return aka bad play. So now this team is losing, which makes this team have higher odds of getting angry, which increase the risk of them wanting a scapegoat, justified or not this often leads to reports on someone who played badly. This anger also increase odds of bad play, which increase the odds of a losing game and thus increase chances reports and more anger. When you win games people commends everyone after the game, but commends are much more rare if you
So, I am 7k MMR, I am not the best, but not the worst, but when I solo play Turbo I often get parties in both teams who are ranked crusader, legend, ancient, divine and they often either whine on me or somebody else that they do things they don't like. But ironically they are the ones playing like clowns, I know that they are likely lower MMR every game and therefore I never say anything. I do think there should be a thing for reporting them for toxic text though.
I've played strict solo for many, many years now, but what if non-strict solo was changed so that if you were 1 person grouped up with unknown parties couldn't punish you with reports or at the very least make them less effective? Because I will never play non-strict solo again because if you are having a bad game they are much more likely to look at you as the "problem" and call you a griefer and report you even if you played your best.
Ofc this happens in strict solo too, I often see people calling for reporting me or some other team-mate, sure they might have been stupid or made a mistake, but they weren't actively griefing. I often report the guy calling for a report instead, toxic fuck
My prefered role is pos 5, but pos 4 is also fine, I have been support almost exclusively since 2012, like 95% of my games. What's most annoying is when I get pos 3, which ofc is most of the time when I select all roles as it is the least wanted role. What annoys me is that I often get some core player as support, where he has to see me play like an idiot as core and I see him play like and idiot as support. Ofc I am not totally lost after so many games, but I just really hate it, I am an old dog and I don't want to learn. On top of not liking it I also get a bunch of reports because I am bad as core.
If I got a wish from a genie I wouldn't wish for world peace or money, I would wish for t
