Or am I just wasting my time floating around out here?

TLDR: I'd like to acquire a Kuraokami as early as I can and am having no luck getting one to bail before they're destroyed by allied fleets.
I know I can do the Terran questline and get one.

I'm a new'ish player. I've got about ~35 hours into my Terran Cadet game when I decided I might want to start over now that I know how the game is played.
I chose the 'Stranded' start and everything was going normally.
But when I got to Hatikvah's Choice 1, there were a bunch of Yaki attacking and I really wanted to nab one of their corvettes.

I got up to the point where I'm meant to make a big choice with the Yaki questline during

I picked up the big bundle of everything (Except for Envoy and something else?) during the Steam Summer Sale, but then I sat on the game for a while before playing.

I ended up settling on doing the Terran Cadet start and bumbled around for a bit in the early missions.

I'm pretty clumsy with flying around and navigating the UI, but I got up to the point where my wingman was (apparently?) abducted, though I didn't see it happen. There was a lot of random dialogue that happened while I was flying in a straight line.

Returned to base and spoke with the AI-voiced boss lady and she gave me some undercover mission.

After I made a few cheap upgrades to my Kukri, I undocked from the station

I bought the big bundle of everything (except the two newer ship packs, Envoy and something else) during the Steam sale.

I've only just gotten around to messing around with it a bit last night, but I only did the tutorials.

After clearing the tutorials (and still feeling clumsy with the controls), the game first suggested that I check out Timelines.

But instead I had a look at all of Open Universe starts.

Two of the starts had little stars next to them suggesting that they were more intended for newer players. Terran Cadet and something to do with the Boron.

The other starts look interesting, but it's probably for the best that I have the most handholding to start with.

Purple Cocoon Daily is annoying!

Wizardry Variants Daphne

I imagine it's slightly less sucky to do on PC.
I've combed through the entire cave a few times over and I'm only on 2 out of the 5 needed cocoons.

The sparkly spots keep appearing off to the corner outside of my limited field of vision on mobile.
I can only see them if I use the 'Look Around' option. But there's no indication WHEN I should use that function.

I'm in the middle of my first playthrough in the first map (didn't catch the DLC for free!).
I'm playing on Tribe Mode in the 'Patient' difficulty, with nothing else adjusted (because I couldn't be bothered to go through that list of things I could change!)

After much meandering and exploring by myself, I finally got around to taking some followers with me.

I'd gotten used to just playing by myself with my starting characters and poking at the two nearby Barracks, looking for recruits to take back to base.

By the time I got towards the center of the Barracks, my weapons were worn down and I didn't want them to break so I never bothered challenging the Elites or the Boss.

I'd had my eye on Soul Mask for a few weeks now (though of course I only learned about it after Shifting Sands stopped being free).

I finally got around to buying it and played for a bit.

I'm finding combat specifically to be quite easy. It must be due to the mode I'm playing on.

I chose 'Tribal Mode' and am playing on whatever standard/default settings came along with it. I looked at the difficulty customization options for a bit, but there were like 50 million things I could adjust, so I just left it alone.

I gather that 'Survival' mode is the 'intended' way to play?
Do all of the modes (in single player / offline) allow you to have three accompanying followers simultaneous

I haven't played much Nightreign since the DLC launched. I got caught up playing something else and then never bothered getting back into it until a few nights ago.

I've never been particularly fond of the Guardian. Mostly because turtling up and guarding is difficult (for me!) when I can't guarantee that the enemy will even look my way.

I collected both of the new Balancers relics and tried out a few games as Undertaker and Scholar. (Undertaker is fun, I probably lack the patience for Scholar - Besides these, my favorite characters are Duchess, Wylder, and Revenant).

I tried a game as Guardian with the two Balancers relics, and the third was a Guardian (Ult heals allies), Evergaol, and

Building my own ship is great, but in the early game I really enjoyed chasing down NPC ships that I see landing off in the distance when I'm planetside - or boarding NPC ships during ship-combat to take it over.

But after playing for a while, you begin to notice that most NPC ships are just copies of pre-existing templates: many of which you can just purchase from the shops at a port.

One thing I remember always enjoying in NMS is landing at a port and watching the ships come and go to see if there was one that I wanted to purchase.
If you stayed in one system for long, you start seeing duplicates - but hopping to a different star system would introduce more variety of ships.

I just got back into playing CDDA again (running No Hope, Magiclysm, Mind Over Matter).

After getting through the very-early game, I located a Mansion off in the distance and decided to head out that way.
I was using a Basic Pipe Spear as my primary weapon and lured the zombies out of the outer rooms of the mansion and into bushes to poke them at range. And the entire time, my Basic Pipe Spear held up just fine.

Once I got inside, I lucked out and found a proper Pike (not made of Budget Steel) on a statue.
This weapon had twice the piercing damage of my Pipe Spear and could do Long Reach attacks. So I quickly discarded the Pipe Spear and wielded the Pike.

I killed like four or fi

I've previously been using my YouTube app to listen to music while driving. Able to skip ahead and backtrack using the physical buttons on my steering wheel that way.

But lately the ads have been getting much worse and I'm unable to interact with or skip past them while I'm driving. (Worst is when you have those ads that you can skip after 5 seconds, but they'll go on for like 5 minutes if you leave them alone).

I started using the Firefox browser with some extensions to play YouTube, but I'm unable to skip videos with the buttons.
