Hello, it's my first time posting for me here.
This is my second time doing EMDR with a new Practitioner.
I am on medication for Bipolar Type 2. I've actively been doing talk therapy, trauma informed therapy, sobriety and now EMDR. I have been diagnosed with CPTSD and Bipolar Disorder.
I had previously been in psychiatric care due to my first relationship of 1 year breaking down in my 30s. During the time I worked at an advertising agency and was getting bullied about work, my personality and appearance.
I had been successfully doing treatment for four years and had left the adverting job during the pandemic.
I have stabilised a little bit from moving from permanent to being a freelance

I know this question gets asked from time to time. I've worked (Freelance Brand Designer) a solid five months back to back and have some downtime to recover this week.
I want to do some more structured learning to become really confident in adding Motion Design as a skillset. The YouTube tutorials only take me so far. I kind of want to really understand After Effects and apply it.
School of Motion seems to have learning paths which from some previous comments seems really valid.
The Ben Marriott courses seem to be where I want to go. I'm a Graphic and Brand Designer, I would like to do Motion Design and Animation at that capacity.
I've had a couple of confidence boosters in my person

Hey all,
I'm going to a wedding next month in Edinburgh.
I'm originally from Scotland. So I usually wear a kilt. Although both people are happy to have me, I will be there because of my English friend who is getting married to her Scottish partner. I imagine her partner and family will all be in kilts.
As we met in Hackey I've decided to go Suited. Maybe get a tartan waste coat if it's in budget. Will definitely have my kilt socks on with sgian dubh.
I'm hoping to get just a budget suit that looks sharp. Maybe wear it to work.
Maybe from H&M, Buttons or Next.
I really suit dark green. I'm open to navy or charcoal.
What colour would be appropriate?
I've been doing EMDR for trauma. It's not second time doing EMDR but I've been doing it to process some experiences and deal with some heavy trauma. I really want to give some if it ago to get on with life.
I know they are meant to be my words but I'm finding it hard to verbalise.
We are doing an exercise to narrow some things down. One of the things that has been a recurrent thing in my trauma with abusive people is different types of eye contact.
I don't always know how I am reacting to eye contact.
I've always had people do the most unusual eye contact.
From intense wide eye starring, to just fixed starring, to downward predatory glaring or the wide eye open with a smirk.

Future proofing my computer.
Is the jump between 48GB and 64GB worth the wait?
Will the M5 Pro Chip or M5 Max Chip make a difference?
These seems to be a 5-6 week wait for 64gb Ram.
When I have a 48gb ram option available immediately.

I am a Brand Designer who does Creative Advertising. Big Photoshop, Illustrator, Gylths and now After Effects. Some figma but I tend to work with big image files and will most likely start to get more video.
I tend to make visuals for Brand Guidelines and although I make the files big then reduce them I most likely have to keep working that way to keep the quality.

I had a hard time a few years ago so I'm always really skeptical about new purchases. I had care duties and paused my career but also lost everything. So started my
Hey Group,
I hope you are all good. My client who pays £400 a day Outside IR35 has asked if I would consider going on contract for 9-12 months.
I am kind of open to this.
Outside of the finance side. The client has been generally good to work with. I sometimes do outside hours but it's been a lot less stressful. My industry has felt abusive the last few years, with personalities, cuts, higher expectations and just boundary crossing behaviour.
This client really values and respects me. I still have a few more months with them outside IR35 so they are just wanting a figure to weigh up.
My two options are keep working outside IR35 for potentially 2-4 more months or staying with them
Today I hit 120 days of not smoking. It's attempt 9 after rinse and repeating if I failed of cold turkey. That's just restarting cold turkey all over again.
I started smoking at 28. I have had periods or milestones in other addiction recovery, that I am not proud of. I feel really proud of being four months completely free of smoking and nicotine. I've never been able to put down tobacco for a long time.
It's has the most annoying hold on me and my nervous system.
Luckily I have a good therapist I do EMDR work and we have done a lot before my quit and I had a four week break and met with her last Saturday. She brought up how hard my nervous system is work
