Forward - 2025 Season Recap

The 2025 season was the beginning of the Ben Johnson era in Chicago and it did not dissapoint. After 3 losing years where GM Ryan Poles was tearing down and rebuilding a roster under with Matt Eberflus as coach, the Bears look to have struck gold with their new hire in Johnson. A team that most predicted to finish last in the NFC North, ended up winning the division with the phrase "heart attack Bears" being common on a week to week basis. A rookie class featuring Colston Loveland, Luther Burden, Ozzy Trapillo, Kyle Monangai and others that looked like it would not contribute anything through the first 6 weeks, ended up one of the best rookie classes in the

Hello All,

Something I try to do every year is post the final mocks for us from the draft analyst community. Always fun to look back and see which draft analysts has a good view on the team. This year it is as spread out as I can remember, but the list for this year is below. If anything looks off let me know, I believe the below is the final prediction each of them made.

I have seen a lot of post last few weeks of Dennis Allen Defense types and thought it would be interesting to look back on the depth chart of his most recent top 5 defense, to compare where we are now.

The best Defense I think Dennis Allen has had was 2020 while DC in New Orleans. They were top 5 in almost every category.

  • #4 in Yards allowed per game

    • #5 passing yards allowed per game
    • #4 Rushing yards allowed per game
  • # 4 in takeaways

  • #5 in Points/Game

  • #8 in team sacks during the regular season

Here was the planned starting line up for New Orleans in 2020. Also some notes on player size/snap % at positions I feel it is needed. Another reason I like using 20

I have seen a lot this week in regards to the history of Bears/Packers in the last 10, 20, etc. years. It's hard, but the fanbase needs to let go of a lot of past trauma. The only thing those metrics show is we we were a bad team for a long time and have never had a franchise QB. It is a lot more interesting to look at just how much this has become a rivalry since the moment Caleb William become our QB.

Here is a breakdown of our 4 games vs GB with Caleb Williams at QB. This is what a rivalry looks like when both teams have franchise QBs. The Packers have not dominated us for 57 minutes etc. It has been hilariously close across a 4 game sample size now.
