There’s chatter in the YN FB group that a 2k offline payment is being processed for active duty. After taxes about 1800.

Exact text: “offline payment coming / we found out about it last week but wasn’t allowed to tell anyone just yet until Paycals hit, they just hit. CG wide.. bonus is $1790, so it’s pretty much a 2k bonus minus taxes.”

I don’t have access and not seeing anything definitive in that post. Anyone have something/know something?

Hi folks, I’m working on a side project and would love some anecdotes to supplement what I’ve seen as a YN. If you’re prior service (another branch or CG reserve) and have integrated into USCG Active Duty, how long did it take to get you Active Duty Base Date/Pay Base Date adjusted to reflect your prior service time?

I know the timeline for SOCS requests and when we are allowed to follow up. Just wondered how long PPC actually takes.

Parking garage exit won’t open (despite being within hours). It’s been an hour and a half on the phone with support. They have no answers other than to keep checking in on me and saying “it’s showing open on our end”. No attendant etc on site. (Security guard showed up, confirmed malfunction, still stuck)

What do I do? Trying to go home to sleep before income back in early tomorrow.

My initial thought is call mom emergency fire department but I’m not really trapped. Just my car and my ability to get home.

Good Evening, I'm teaching a Part 107 course soon. I want to liven up my training by introducing videos of drone fails. I have several videos already of dangerous, stupid, or downright entertaining behavior. I wanted to see if y'all had any cool videos that would help engage my students.

Does anyone have a lead on pass rates for the Part 107 initial that are more current than 2018? I’ve got a lot of unverified sources but can’t find anything good.

The most recent FAA report I’ve been able to find says 92%. SUAS news has the 2016 rate at 88%. I’ve heard from some bloggers/“influencers” that the rate is currently in the high 70% but nothing official.

Hello, I have a model of some landscape created by using drones and PIX4D. I need this model to have a vertical element (Z layer) added so that it can be printed. Linked below is an example of how to accomplish it. I need this done within 24 hours and have been unsuccesful in teaching myself how to do it.
