La Haine and City of God, although very different films, both provide a portrayal of the lower class suburbs of two large cities. I find that the strong socio-political themes present in both films as well as the cinematic approach to portraying them can be linked to the social realist movement but I'm unsure if this is correct. I hope that a discussion around this topic could help me understand how I could create a comparative study around these two films.

I'm trying to remember where I saw this particular editing. I have seen it many times before but I can't remember where it's from. It's the fast style editing of old war or archive footage sometimes of explosions, maybe money. I might have seen it in a conspiracy theory documentary. But it's highly stylized and looks really cool and was hoping someone knew about it and could tell me.

r/Art•

I'm making a presentation exploring YouTubers (specifically vloggers) and whether their content can be considered art, but what I'm finding interesting is that many vloggers such as Logan Paul, Jake Paul, etc. don't have any intentions for their content to be considered art. What I'm trying to say is that although these vloggers use a form of art (video, film) to share their lives, their intentions are not for their videos to be considered art and are focused more on the fact that those videos will make them money. Very hard to explain what I'm trying to say but hopefully you guys get the general gist and are able to help.

Details on the task are below but essentially I would like some help on generating a ground for comparison and thesis so that I can keep on writing with a purpose and vision. I chose Shutter Island and Insomnia and decided to look at the noir and neo-noir themes as well as the psychological themes. Any help or input would be great.
