Hi everyone,

I guess this is showing my age a bit, as I made this account 11 years ago. You know how you can list posts for a certain domain, sort them by new, top, and so on. It seems I can't do that for self posts, so that e.g. https://www.reddit.com/domain/self.astronomy/ shows nothing. I don't remember if it was ever possible, but if there's currently a way to do it, that would help me, thanks!

Edit 2: Screw it, I'm confused. Just write here for bragging or being pitied.

I thought it would be interesting to collect some data on this, so people can gauge whether they're on an average level or should optimize something in their profile. In the spirit of self posts, my own answer is in the comments.

Edit: Their picture, not their profile. My brain isn't quite here yet.

Hi Linux Questions,

I've switched through a lot of music players & library managers in the past; from Deadbeef, Clementine, Rhythmbox, Guayadeque, Tomahawk, Audacious, and for a while even foobar2000 over WINE.

My personal preferences w.r.t. to the user interface aside, do you people know which players do not mess with the metadata of my files automatically? I found the listen count and rating of Guayadeque very helpful, but it resulted in my files not matching their original version anymore, which was important for me.

I'm getting ready to cycle through again and see what sticks, but this would be a great first exclusion criterium.

Hi folks,

I keep remembering about once a year that there was a band I found on the internet maybe 10 years ago. They made their music available for free, but I've since lost it and don't know their name anymore. Things I do know:

  • One of their albums was called something with "launderette", and the cover looked hand-drawn.

  • They shared a URL with the punk band Anal Beard (asked them via Facebook, but no reply yet).

Thanks for the help!

Edit: FOUND IT. http://www.worldofbeardandpog.co.uk/pogwash/band.html https://pogband.bandcamp.com

I just read that the SAMSUNG conglomerate, its 83 different businesses combined, accounts for 17% of the South Korean GDP. How much power does that give them? Is this a question that is being discussed in Korea?

Hi everyone,

I am using the Proximus prepaid plan, and would like to switch over to a contract. That can't be done online apparently because I'm a foreigner, and in the phone system it took ages to get to speak with someone, who then ordered the wrong thing. I've been to a store twice and given them all my documents, the second time I also had my numero national and rental contract. They always say it should only take a few days, and then I never hear anything from them. What am I doing wrong? Do I have to wait until I get my identity card?
