I have watched all available field stripping videos and I am certain I am following the instructions correctly. The barrel seems like it is glued to the lower receiver which prevents me from field stripping it. It is brand new, never been shot or messed with. Has anyone else had this problem?

I can't seem to find an online owner's manual for the Tanto monocular. I plan on installing my own tubes and want to do some preliminary research on what disassembly looks like. Does anyone have any resources for the Tanto, specifically an owner's manual that covers disassembly?

I'm looking for a modular night vision setup, such as the tanto system, with Gen 3 tubes. My plan is to start with a monocular and build up to a binocular system. I will be using it mainly for land navigation, general field craft, and hunting so I need to be able to resolve objects at all reasonable distances including right in front of me. I have done a ton of shopping around but can't seem to find a tanto that is explicitly advertised as having gen 3 tubes. Am I missing something? Any input is appreciated.

My dad recently died after a slow and gruesome "battle" with cancer that took about 1.5 years. What started out as relief has slowly become a paralyzing depression. I still have go to work and perform the basic functions of life however, which I have managed to do so far. I would like to recover as quickly as possible and was looking into grief counseling but I am getting less than %100 certain answers as to whether or not doing so will jeopardize my clearance (TS-SCI with multiple sensitive sub-compartments). I suffered immensely to get to where I am and will not compromise my position under any circumstances but continuing on like this seems unsustainable.

TL;DR Essentially, I just want

I just started a new job as a federal employee that consists of gaining access to cyber-physical systems and literally destroying the physical component of them via the cyber component. Onboarding is expected to take several weeks due to the stringent security protocols etc. I plan on asking my coworkers for training but I decided to post on here to see if you guys had any training recommendations for someone who will need to destroy cyber-physical systems as a career.

For reference, I have an extensive background in Physical sciences, biodefense, counter-terrorism, and software engineering but little experience in cybersecurity or whatever the hell this job is.

I enlisted in the Army National Guard as and 18X, I underwent the process to obtain a SECRET security clearance and I believe it was successful since they pushed through to the next step of the pipeline (i.e. giving me a ship date etc.). I am now no longer interested in being in the NG because it caused me to lose my job and they have generally been a disruptive and destructive force in my life. I now have been extended a job offer for a biodefense company that requires a SECRET security clearance. Is my previous clearance still active? If not will the process be quicker to obtain the INTERIM clearance?

Thank you for any and all advice or information.

Here are my concerns, please let me know which if any of these will be an issue:

  1. I am in the National Guard, I have not separated as of yet but plan to since they have been an extremely destructive aspect of my life, causing me to lose my job. I do not want the NG to interfere with this position which is why I plan on separating. I have not been to BCT/AIT but technically speaking when you join the NG you are considered "in" as soon as you swear in at MEPS. I want to separate because I left my previous job to ship out for OSUT, Airborne, and Special Forces Assessment and Selection (18X), and quite literally 2 days before I was supposed to leave my recruiter contacted me telling me that m
