Mbti and sleep paralysis?

Survey / Poll / Question

No type(s) can exclusively model any one behavior but I am trying to determine if the Se Trickster Function uses sleep paralysis, during dreaming.

My question is principally for INTPs and INFPs, do you suffer from or have you experienced sleep paralysis?

Dear mods,

This is a valid question based on Beebe’s 8 function model. I need to input of other types if I am too far off on this. I believe cognitive functions are evident in dreams, especially the inferior function as the Anima/Animus. Ty

I did a post recently concerning Te and Ti being steps in the association rule (support and confidence). It wasn’t a well received post. I believe it was due to the ENTP mind using this process backwards and it was had to imagine.

Here, I wanted to suggest a formulated view of Ne/Ni. I had already did a post of Ne being based on probability. I got push back because several individuals seemed to be confuse by the lack of Ni shadow influences.

I argue Ni is a slight variation of the Risk Threshold Rule. Ni knowing or Ni wanting is nothing more. Gone is the magic and maybe you can understand your Ni shadow a little better as it contrasts with you seeing possibilities. I am working on this/n

Dreams of the ENTP mind

Debate/Discussion

I have gotten really good at dissecting the dreams of the ENTP mind. Without knowing a person’s mbti type, I can pickup on the reported high sensation level of the dreamer. They explain a dissociative experience with an inability to distinguish between wake and asleep.

Unfortunately, I am still struggling to explain Si inferior to ENTPs. They seem to be in a level of denial. Therefore, I can’t get them to address the very issue the Anima/Animus is trying to resolve. It is as if ENTPs would rather keep having nightmares.

The dissociative dream is not my favorite to interpret. I like dreams with the sensation of the bite, I find this dreamer more open minded. Regardless, ENTPs overall don’

I have been on a journey of looking for heuristic formulas to describe cognitive functions. I am trying to avoid some of the pitfalls of language. I thought this may help you understand the mind of an INTJ by looking up the association formula and seeing the steps as the Te auxiliary and Ti critic. We would have to reverse some steps for the ENTP. The language for the formula is problematic but I am trying to work around it.
The association formula has several metrics. It seems you guys mentally do a confidence step in before the support step in the unconscious mind.

Ne as a formula

Debate/Discussion

I am on a journey of imagining cognitive functions as the most basic mathematical functions. I thought Ne was beyond that type of explanation. I started considering the bell curve but then realized it is too complex to be Ne. Then I thought about how much I love observing Ne doms explore possible paths. It occurred that I romanticized Ne too much and that it is a simple data processing formula that much relate back to sensing (for lack of better term). With that being the case I am considering

P (A) = Number of favorable outcomes
————————————————-
Total number of possible outcomes

I love this because I see it as my Ne worry and I see how this would relate back to Si inferior within

This Test seems very Te critic.

You have 4 cards: showing is a A, G, 7, and 8.

Which card would you need to flip over to look on the other side to verify the following rule:

If you have an A on one side than you have a 7 on the other.

See the video for a better description of the task, I hope this helps you understand Te critic better.

I love thinking of Socrates as an ENTP. I don’t see him as a sophist but rather as the father of Western Philosophy.

In Plato’s telling, Socrates makes a point about goodness. See the video. I would argue what is being unintentionally represented here is Ti auxiliary as Reason and Fi trickster becoming either Spirit or Appetite. Of course Spirit and Appetite are finalized in Si (noble or depravity). I think it is a powerful lesson for every ENTP.

Dreams

MBTI Article/History

I am getting close to seeing consistency in the types of dreams people have based on their inferior function.

This will not be universal because topics or scenarios can be interpreted from the perspective of each inferior function; but I am seeing a pattern.

If everyone could offer a brief dream example and their type, I would be thankful.

These are patterns I am seeing.

Simulation dreams-Si inferior
Sensing dreams-Si inferior

Teeth falling out-Te inferior

Se Manifesting

Discussion

I had an interesting discussion the other day with someone that I see as a very dominant ESFP. His Ni projection of others not knowing was very evident. I tried to pull out of him how he interacted with the world. I used terms like shaping and manipulating the environment. He found those terms as inappropriate because of the connotation. He used the term manifesting for what I believe is Se.

I was curious about Jeffery Epstein’s mbti and I watched the Steven Bannon interview. I usually focus in on sentence structure but something stuck out to me. It was this quote:

“I think women, as I said the last time, have an intuitive sense. … They have intuition, they have feelings, and they're able to deal in the realm of things that men — especially men like myself — find unexplainable.”

Epstein is often typed as an ESTP. I thought the quote was a strong projection of his inferior function-Anima onto women in general.

Could Maudie an ISFP influenced story?

Discussion(s)/Question(s)/Anybody Relate?

Putting biographical drama aside, it would make sense to me to see the Maudie storyline as Fi Maud struggling with the Te Animus Everett.

A lot depends of Sherry White’s interpretation of the real Maud story. From research, I can’t tell if Everett was abusive.

The great thing is it really doesn’t matter, our minds fill in gaps to relate to stories. I just tend to focus on how the Animus or Anima is represented in stories.

ENTPs come in flavors

Debate/Discussion

I believe US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is an ENTP. He is one of those business finance ENTPs. Probably a “S” disc type, maybe 5w6. I like these videos because you can contrast it with INTJ UK Rachel Reeves. Notice his optimistic possibilities and her pessimistic system. He appeals to fairness and then goodness. He appeals to goodness and then fairness.
