I just saw this subreddit and thought you might enjoy this old story I've shared at r/TalesFromYourServer in the past.

About 19 years ago when I was at the university, I used to work in the Netherlands as a shift manager at a famous fast food restaurant that provided it's customers with free wifi. Mobile internet was not as common as it was nowadays, so it was quite popular and well used by our guests.

The night in question, everything went wrong. There were some troublesome guests, a staff member walked out on a shift (my first and only one). I was on closing duty, and had to help closing the kitchen before I could do my regular closing duties. We closed at 2 AM at weekends due to the

The default setup for user provisioning through Entra ID requires an account with full admin permissions. It's something I can understand for the initial set up, as it needs to create the SSO identity provider etc.

But after set up, I would like to limit the permissions on the account to a lower permission level. We're an MSP and have over 20 entra ID environment that write their users to our instance and having those admin account laying around does feel like a security risk.

Does anybody have experience with this? I could not find documentation about it, so I've tried limiting the roles to user

Het is vandaag de laatste werkdag van mei. Als je dat aan mensen verteld, kijken ze je toch raar aan.

Our production instance was planned to start upgrading about 2 hours ago, but didn't start and the change isn't updated. Are there any known issues with automation at support? I've seen upgrades starting up to 30 minutes late, but 2 hours is a new record.

We're using CSM in combination with ITSM and sometimes the servicedesk creates requests based on cases. For example because the user doesn't have access to the CSM portal (that is a choice outside my circle of influence).

When the servicedesk agent creates a request from the case, he sees all requests that are available for the agent as an employee of our company, and all requests that are available for all customers the agent supports. This makes it hard for the agent to match the case with a fitting request that is available for the customer in question.

What would be the best solution to make the catalog only show items that are only available for the contact (or if if easier the accou

Hi, we're using the CSM/FSM configurable workspace for our agents on vancouver and went live last thursday. When an agent views a case through the workspace, the casenumer is shown. when an agent views the case through the Next Experience UI, the short description of the case is shown.

In the sys_ui_title.list overview, I see there is an entry for the case table with the short_description field.

What table should I add to the overview to modify the experience for the agent, so they see the short description as well when they view a case in the CSM/FSM configurable workspace?

I tried asking on the ServiceNow community, but didn't get a response. So maybe someone here can help out a beg

I made a change in the available categories within cases while my profile was set to English. I tested it and the removed category didn't show in the selection.

The user that requested it, came back and showed me that the category is still visible, but his profile was set to Dutch. I could verify that there was a difference in the lists in Dutch and English.

I'm wondering if this is the expected behavour and if so, why? I'm fairly new to the platform, so there might be something I don't understand yet.

Does anybody have experience with Zero Trust and Entra ID (Azure AD) over SAML? We try to get the App in Azure/Entra ID to push the authentication context as an atribute for ServiceNow to process, but can't figure out how to do this.

Is it possible to get the information from Entra ID to set up Zero Trust?
