Jats have always been of a rogue and rebellious nature, while their enemies were dictatorial in their conduct—something the Jats never tolerated. The Jats defeated the Arabs in Kailat and Sindh, and they resisted Chach when he betrayed Rai Sahasi. Rai Sahasi was the man who employed Chach out of pity, but in return Chach betrayed him when he fell ill.

The Jats were the first to fight the Arabs, killing six top Arab generals, including Abdullah Sawaar al-Abdi. No other Indian community inflicted such heavy damage on the Arabs except the Jats, and even enemy writers recorded this. The Jats themselves never wrote their own history, but enemies like Ibn Manzur and Ahmad al-Kashgari did.
