There has recently been a fair bit of coverage in the West and the UK of the trial of a Russian spy ring comprised of Bulgarian nationals. (As a bit of context, spying is normally done by people working under the cover of diplomats, meaning that spies enjoy diplomatic immunity and cannot be chargaed but are instead simply kicked out of the country. But since the UK ejected all Russian diplomats after the Skripal poisoning, the Russians had to resort to using these Bulhgarians as spies, and since they are not diplomats they do not enjoy diplomatic immunity they were able to be prosecuted charged, which has led to more public disclosure of spying than we normally see.)

Anyway, some of the evi

I'm working on a Specialized Crossroads from the '90s. To my surprise, it has weird handlebars that have a narrower diameter at the ends where the grips mount, and it takes 3/4" (19 mm) grips as opposed to the standard 7/8" (22.2 mm) grips. Unfortunately I only discovered this after cutting off one of the grips, so reusing the old ones isn't an option.

Anyone know of any sources for these 3/4" grips? Google brings back mainly grips for tricycles or vintage-style molded cruiser grips.

I know the easy solution is to use different bars, but I'd prefer not having to throw away the bars as they are otherwise usable and I don't like unnecessary waste.

Bonus points if they're available in Canad

Apparently escrow is north of 20% this year, and is expected to be higher next year. In other words, NHL players will only receive less than 80% of their nominal contract value (and signing bonuses are also subject to escrow).

On the other hand, a player who is bought out only receives 2/3 of his nominal contract value (which is also paid out over a longer period of time — a complication I won't address here), but these buyouts are not subject to escrow.

So basically a player who is bought out only receives maybe 13% less money than if they played through their contract. And if they sign with another team after being bought out, and make more than 16% of their old salary (escrow on that 1

I was lucky enough to find an old Pinarello frame left out with the trash this morning... my second great trash find of the year.

Anyway, I measured the hub spacing, and the rear is spaced 130 mm (would expect 126 mm from a frame of this vintage) while the forks are 75 mm!

This may explain why it was trashed, but I'm obviously going to re-space the forks back to 100 mm, though I'll probably leave the rear as is. My concern is how to re-space the forks while maintaining alignment/symmetry, so I was wondering if y'all had any tips.

Also, if anyone could ID the frame, that would be amazing. Columbus SL tubing on the frame, with chrome stays and chrome Columbus forks. Shimano 600 group with 7

In the past, most folks on r/hockey have defended Tortorella's stance on protests, frequently saying that Tortorella is actually a really great guy, that his son is in the Army Rangers, that he does a lot of work for the community, and that he really loves dogs. Many commenters here have also been hostile to the suggestion that Tortorella's views suggest a problem with hockey culture or could be sending a hostile message to minority players or fans.

So I'm wondering if recent events have actually made anyone here reevaluate their opinion of these kinds of protests and/or Tortorella's view of these kinds of protests. If so, why? If not, why not?
