Hi all, I'll probably get flamed here, but new to the whole MTB scene, I've recently bought my son a Commencal Ramones 24 and he wants to put some new grips on it, I'm sure the stock ones are fine etc, but kids will be kids and wants to "upgrade".

Looking at the usual brands, PNW, Diety, OneUp etc, which would all fit fine, however, the right hand side his bike has Revoshift rather than a lever shift which makes the right grip shorter than normal (pic below), Is there a way to cut a grip down and still get it to lock on? Could I do this with a normal grip or could I go to a double lock on style and utilise just one of the clamps?

There's not much out there in terms of aftermarket cooler

Hi all,
I've bought my son a Commencal Ramones 24" (https://www.commencal.com/au/en/commencal-ramones-24-black-%26-white/21RAMONES24BK.html) for Christmas, I did have a Trek Precalibre 24 picked out but he likes the Commencal frame better.

Seeing as though the Ramones has a rigid front, would I be able to fit an RST first 24" suspension to this bike? https://www.bike-discount.de/en/rst-first-24-air-24-60-suspension-fork?number=20109401&__delivery=4

Would it make much of a difference

Looking to purchase one of these bikes this week, someone said they are a small make, I wanted to go for the Medium frame with the 29F/27.5R

I'm approx. 178cm which brings me under the 180cm limit for the M frame according to their site, but when I emailed the rep said to size up to the large which starts at 178cm.

Does anyone think I'll have issues with the M frame or is it best to go to the 29er Large frame?

Hi all, been through a bunch of old threads and videos and am no closer to making a decision on a purchase for my first HT.

The two bikes I've currently got in mind are:

Commencal HT AM Origin Green - $1500 AU on sale atm
I'm right on the higher end of the M size frame and at the start of the L sized frame, I believe the M is a 27.5 Read and 29 Front and 29/29 on the L frame, after a bit of reading i was going to go a 27.5 or a mullet at least, Commencal recommended that i go for the larger frame though.

The only downside I can see here is that it's a more expensive than the SQ1 but still doesn't have a dropper and it's BYO pedals as far as I can tell, but damn its a good lookin
