Imperfectment

A while back, someone asked about ovulation symptoms being worse with gallstones and asking if others noticed the same. I have definitely noticed a decrease since having my gallbladder out back in June.

Something else I noticed recently is that I don’t suffer from nearly crippling depression the day before my period starts anymore. Before I found out I had gallstones, I was about to go to the doctor and ask about PMDD. I was looking into it today and read about how gallstones can cause an increase of estrogen and progesterone??

Has anyone else noticed this correlation?

Before I got my gallbladder out( 7/27 6/27 I’m dumb😂), I lost probably 30lbs or so that I didn’t necessarily need to lose. I was comfortable in my body for once in my life, and then I had the weight drop.

If you also needed/wanted it gain weight back after your removal, what did you do? The only things I’ve really been able to find in my quick searches have been about trying to lose weight after the surgery.

Should I supplement with anything for weight gain? What are your favorite bulk up meals? Is there a different sub I’d have more luck in? How long did you weight to test your system with dairy and animal fats? I had to fully cut dairy out in April so I’m worried about the reintrod

I have my surgery scheduled for next Tuesday and I can NOT wait to never have another gallbladder attack.

I’m nervous about managing my 20m once I’m post-op. My husband will be home the first two days and I’m pretty sure we have up until Monday afternoon covered that someone will be with us at all times. I’m still trying to get everything planned out past then.

I know I’m not supposed to lift anything over 10lbs at least until my postop visit, but how long was recovery for you personally? Anyone with toddlers have any tips on how to handle the healing process?

I had an ultrasound 6/1 that showed multiple stones and I have an appointment with a surgeon on the 19th. I’m realizing that my very first gallbladder attack was probably just about 2 years ago when I was pregnant with my son. I hadn’t gotten another once since probably march this year when I thought it was just sudden and severe lactose intolerance. I was having 2-3 attacks a week when I called the doctor for an appointment and then I found out gallbladder issues run on BOTH sides of my family. The longest I’ve gone is a week without an attack.

I feel like now if I have even the slightest amount of fat, my gallbladder starts up it’s nonsense. I had a poke bowl with salmon (which I though

I recently stopped nursing after 13ish months. Since I got passed the engorgement stage, I’ve been having stomach problems. I cut back on dairy lately and have noticed my stomach wasn’t constantly turning anymore. Since then I get intense stomach pains if I forget and eat anything with dairy.

I’ve never had this issue with dairy and was wondering if anyone else had this happen to them after their supply dried?

We’ve come to the end of our breastfeeding journey! We made it just shy of 16m and little dude just stopped his night time comfort feeding randomly.

I’m thankful we made it as long as we did but I’m relieved to have my body back. How long did it take for your boobs to go back? I’m on day 5 since he’s nurses and I feel like I have two rocks in my bra right now. Is the end in sight? What tips do y’all have?💕

So, I made a post a few days ago about anyone having luck with a baby flipping after 36w. Today I had another Amniotic Fluid Index and my fluid levels are still fairly low. They were 8.5 on Monday at the hospital, but around 6.5 at my doctor's office today. I'm not a candidate for ECV because of my low levels as well. So, it's looking like I'm having a C Section in the second week of December.

I guess my issue is that I had such a clear idea of how everything would go. I'd go into labor probably after my due date, spend hours yelling at my husband as I endured contraction after contraction, eat ice chips, and suck at trying to control my breathing. I had even made peace with the fact that

I’m feeling a tad bit defeated here. I’ve been told “there’s time don’t worry” for the past few weeks, but now it’s not looking like this frank breech boy is going to flip. I was told by my doctor today that I’m not a candidate for External Cephalic Version because my amniotic fluid levels have been on the lower end the last few weeks (around the 15th percentile). Plus I don’t know how relevant it is, but I’m about 1.5 centimeters dilated.

I’ve been trying to be sure I’m hanging out on my hands and knees for a few minutes before bed and leaning forward to try and make space for him to flip.

My doctor mentioned today I could see a chiropractor to do the Webster technique, but she wasn’t s

So I just had my last ultrasound! Measurements were good and everything looked great! The best news is the abnormalities they thought they saw on previous ultrasounds aren’t a problem anymore!

I was disappointed though because I was CONVINCED that my little boy had flipped since the last ultrasound. Turns out all the high kicking I’ve been feeling is because he’s tucked his legs up by his head.

I know that baby’s flip when they feel like it and it’s not super scary right now, but when should I start mentally preparing for my baby to be breech for delivery? Has anyone else had their baby flip later? The few people I’ve talked to all said their babies flipped by now. I know there’s no need

I’ve seen a couple of ads on Facebook for the little adaptors that pulls the lap band between your legs, keeping the belt away from your belly. I’m 27 weeks and I’m now starting to really show. The belt is starting to get a little uncomfortable if I don’t position it multiple times during a car trip.

Being that I’ve been in 2 car accidents already during this pregnancy, I’m anxious about getting in another one. Luckily, my baby boy has been completely fine after both accidents, but still. Has anyone used the belt adapters? I’m going to ask my doctor about it at my appointment next week, but I just wanted to see what others think about them! The comments on the ads all are glowing, but I’m

I got a kitten yesterday, but my lab mix is just TOO excited. I have the kitten in his own room for now, but any time my lab hears the kitten meow, he will NOT stop whining.

This morning I put the kitten in the bathroom and let my lab smell the room, but he still won’t stop whining. If he even happens to see the kitten, he just goes into overload excited. Which of course terrifies the little kitten.

I know it’s going to take a while, but any help is appreciated!
