I enjoy writing, but it hurts when I do, why?

I enjoy writing, the process of dreaming up stuff in my head, coming up with plans, and putting it to paper. But that's the problem, it literally hurts when I put it to paper. Whenever I start writing, it feels like my brain aches, hurts, and overheats. Am I doing something wrong? Is this common? I probably won't stop writing, I enjoy it too much. But this definitely hampers my enthusiasm and my ability to push forward.
