China disapproves of British Steel nationalisation decision by UK
reuters.com/world/uk/china-disapproves-britis...China ‘strongly dissatisfied’ with nationalisation of British Steel

theguardian.comHi all,
I'm running ConfigMgr Current Branch 2509 with Hotfix Rollup KB37864969 and am seeing what appears to be a site-wide application deployment reporting issue. Initially I thought this was a PatchMyPC or Client side deployment problem, but after digging into it for several hours the evidence points elsewhere.
The error being reported is:
0x87D00314 (-2016410860) CI Version Info timed out
I currently have:
ErrorCode Records
------------ -------
-2016410860 13,784
This affects dozens of unrelated application deployments. For example:
AssignmentID Records
------------ -------
16793680 409
16793921 409

I have a piloting ring in WUfB. I have recently changed the feature update setting for this to switch over to make 25H2 available to install. Approximately 50% of the devices are not picking up this feature update. The systems are currently on 24H2. I don't think any of the settings in the dashboard are 'wrong' as some devices have figured it.
These devices are hybrid AD joined and in co-management with SCCM with the workload moved to Intune. I was previously managing their patches with SCCM, hence I am still a bit clueless as to how Intune does things.
What should I be checking on the client(s)?

needtoknow.co.uk/2025/07/30/britains-most-tat...I have a T7 Ferengi Whip. I noticed this morning when claiming that I had the option of trial bells where previously this option was just for the various rarity of fragments. Is this a new change?
I admit I haven't been in the centre of the town for a while but I've been in a few times on weekdays recently and then again today. Everytime I have walked past Burger King in St George's it has been closed. Has it moved or is it just shut?
I have an older gaming PC that is unable to run Windows 11. As such I thought I'd give Fedora a spin on it and see how well it worked. I installed via USB stick to a spare USB external hard drive. This works well, but is slowed down due to the USB hard drive. Fine, that was expected. So far so good.
I now want to re-install to the actual storage on the PC. The machine has two drives. A normal 2Tb SSD plus a 1Tb NMVE. What is a sensible partition layout to use for these two drives given they have miss-matched speed and capacity? Under Windows the SSD is C: and the NVME is D:.
The machine will be used as a desktop for web browsing, plus gaming under Wine + PlayonLinux, Lutris and Steam Prot
We recently moved some branch offices from being our own rented office space to managed office space. In the rented space we installed a server to run the LAN there. This also functioned as the DP for the site assigned to the boundary group. This worked great and is a fairly standard setup in SCCM.
In the new managed office there is no server. There is a site to site VPN setup back to head office so they are connected to the internal network however. Their internet breaks out locally at the site and does not get routed over the LAN.
I can create a boundary group for this LAN at the remote office but they have no local DP to pull content from.
So how to I handle this situation?
Should
I have tried to setup TSBackground today and I am having trouble with the boot image.
I have copied the winpeshl.ini file to the correct location. I have customised the boot image with the extra files and the WScript.Exit(0) prestart command.
However when I boot from this WinPE image over the network it loads and boots. The background image is loaded then I briefly see a command window box pop up and the machine reboots.
I am using SCCM 2403 with ADK 10.1.26100.0
I am having a bad time trying to figure out how to manage .Net Desktop Runtime 6/7/8 installs. It would appear various bits of software have installed different versions depending on what they are packaged with. This has resulted in some side by side installs too (e.g 6.0.7 is installed along with 6.0.12 and 6.0.25). There also seem to be some user installs floating around in appdata.
My main issues are:
- Can I uninstall all but the latest supported versions (6.0.32 and 8.0.7)
- How do I uninstall the other versions silently with SCCM (uninstall via MSI code seems to not work).
- Does anyone have any scripting or to
