We need a new-age club/s - i.e GWVCA' - Gulf War Veterans Club of America or the like.. I don't know.

We skimboard, hike, mountain bike and go on whisky tastings. We have nfl gameday bbqs, we volunteer in cleanups, we hold fundraisers, and build houses. Screw the binge drinking in a dank basement fighting over who deserves what benefit.

We need to support each other and our families. Cash is not the only thing that holds a family or community together. I would not doubt the amount of 100%ers out there who spent the holiday in a domicillary is more than we'd like to imagine.

The internet and forums cannot replace a major piece of community and well-being amongst peers needed in young/m

Looking at a 15-month (RAD 7/23) wait for HAIMS/2963 with no cert in JLV. CG recs and no SPOE pending. We were able to rate effecfively until now but the claim is sitting on station obviously. I have seen many VLER waits holding claims on station and everyone kind of just holds their hands up like I guess we'll just wait...

Is there ANYTHING I can do to ruffle some lost souls at DHS to at least attempt to find out what the heck is going on? Don't get me wrong - Incredibly thankful we don't have to bother M.Y. for CG recs, bless her heart. And the process has become easier but holy moly some of these VLER pending periods have been astronomical with many of us devs twiddling thumbs.

I have been reviewing some of my past short to long-term goals I wrote down with my wife when she was pregnant. Some have been crushed while others well, we'll see... (the camper van went from a 5 to a 10-year goal lol). Wrenches get thrown into plans often with a little one and that's alright. It gives me an excuse to rethink a bit and adapt.

Does anyone else sit down with themselves or S.O.'s and hash out some realistic goals on paper? I'm interested to read some of them.

Some of mine: 1 year - construct small greenhouse; read more into coaching little league

5 year - enclose half of the deck

10 year - paid in full camper van for travelling

Yard work with lil man can be tough for me because he wants dad's full attention (only-child). This morning I set out to do a bit of pre-spring cleaning out back. I knew he'd be hanging with me since wifey went out for a bit. After cleaning up fallen sticks/branches, transferring some fresh soil, and clearing some shed space he slumped his shoulders and said 'Dad, I'm boooorred'. I told him 'go explore a bit.'

We have some green acres out back and my yard goes back about 50 feet into it, half-fenced. He would take about 10 steps, look back and yell 'There's nothing heeeeeeere'.... 'Keep exploring, son', I said over the next 5 minutes. All of a sudden I hear 'DAD!!!! I FOUND SOMETHING!!!!
