Male, 36. 5mg dose, 6’ tall. Been on and off zepbound for about a year. My top weight was 350 after I’d been off it due to insurance and I’m currently at 320.

I’m currently in the middle of my fourth GI problem this year while on zepbound. It’s extremely exhausting and disheartening since this medication has really helped with weight loss. Many, if not all, of these issues have been attributable to other causes - bacterial infection, viral infection, food poisoning - but I’ve never had this many episodes of debilitating diarrhea and vomiting in my life. That, plus the near constant nausea has been extremely difficult to contend with.

I’m putting together a small group to do a “magic school” campaign with my sister and I really want to embrace a few sources:

• Traditional “Harry Potter”-style balancing of classes and the overall campaign: the students are putting themselves in danger while still needing to balance academics
• Scholomance: my sister really loves this series but it has a few challenges to bridge with the first inspiration, namely that there are no teachers and it is extremely deadly
• Ender’s Game but fantasy: my thought on bridging the two is that for some reason the students have to endure death matches against monsters at a regular interval due to some necessity of the universe that the teach

Looking to do a pseudo 24-hour watch using an NH34 movement with no hour hand (gmt, minute and seconds only). Any recommendations for a good dial with markings for 24 hours? Having trouble finding one I like on AliX

My VSF A8806 movement watch’s crown stem broke recently and the dealer was supposed to send me a replacement but I haven’t heard from him. Is there any way to get a replacement crown stem in the US? Or even an entire replacement movement?

Beginner collector here, just getting into the hobby and looking to but my first expensive / luxury watch. I’m torn between the recently announced Loco and something from a bigger brand like a Rolex Oyster Perpetual or an Omega Seamaster 300M. I intend to wear and enjoy the watch, and hopefully never sell. That said, it’s really hard to argue financially with the fact that you can sell a Rolex or Omega on if you absolutely have to, whereas with a less established brand you may end up not getting as much back if you have to sell. I think I would be thrilled to wear the Omega Seamaster 210.92.42.20.10.001 or to wear the Loco - but I need to understand the financial tradeoffs before I pul

I just finished reading “A Conventional Boy” by Charles Stross and thought it was a really fun and interesting setting for a dungeon crawl. If you’re not familiar, The Laundry Files is a series of books the posits that magic is essentially a system of computation - when you do enough interesting proofs or other mathematical exercises you can attract the attention of creatures from beyond space and time - and maybe get them to do things for you. Somewhere in between Lovecraft, Triangle Agency, and something much lighter and fun, many of the books revolve around the main characters trying to stop various cultists from summoning Elder Gods who are objectively Not Good.

I’ve been playing a bunch of DnD lately, which I enjoy, but I’m getting tired of the Vancian magic system. I’m curious if there are any other games that have more interesting magic systems, especially something that might let magic-users invent spells on the fly or generally have more creativity in magic use. Any suggestions?
